Waking up to a new day is such a privilege. Casting down imaginations and counting blessings of the birth of Jesus. As I read the word, I see the importance of knowing it. Living without boundaries of his faithfulness to each of us. He is a true promise keeper and his life continues to matter. God is one who told of things to come. The dictionary says foretold means ~ to tell of beforehand; predict; prophesy. God spoke of the birth of Jesus before he arrived.
The Birth of Jesus Foretold
In the sixth month of Elizabeth’s pregnancy, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a town in Galilee, 27 to a virgin pledged to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of David. The virgin’s name was Mary. 28 The angel went to her and said, “Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you.”
29 Mary was greatly troubled at his words and wondered what kind of greeting this might be. 30 But the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favor with God. 31 You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus.
32 He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, 33 and he will reign over Jacob’s descendants forever; his kingdom will never end.”
34 “How will this be,” Mary asked the angel, “since I am a virgin?”
35 The angel answered, “The Holy Spirit will come on you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God. 36 Even Elizabeth your relative is going to have a child in her old age, and she who was said to be unable to conceive is in her sixth month. 37 For no word from God will ever fail.”
38 “I am the Lord’s servant,” Mary answered. “May your word to me be fulfilled.” Then the angel left her.
FORETOLD ~ A message given by an angel. Jesus was planned by God to enter earth and heaven. His story of life unfolds in the Bible and continues today in our lives. We can read the word (Bible) and hold tight to the promises inside of it. Our hearts are filled with God's amazing love after we surrender our will to his will. Our minds are determined to live the word and the story unfolds for each of us. Let us not be troubled of how God is going to work things out, but to know God is going to work it out.
The Bible might be hard for some to understand, but if we believe their a God, then the word unfolds in different versions of it. I like to read the NIV verse. We are told of the past, the present and the future. We have highly favored by God, just like Mary was. God has a plan for each of us to do something different. Our past doesn't reflect to everyone all of our past, it shows we are overcomes of wrong things and live in the now of life. Asking Jesus into our hearts and forgiveness of mistakes.
I value you taking the time to read my blog and planting hope today. So many changes can happen in one day and let us remind ourselves that one day Jesus walked on earth. One day Jesus continues to make a difference in our lives, stays forever and is coming back to earth again.
I'm not sure what you are facing today, but know that God's promises are real. He will never leave you or forsake you. Be strong and encourage yourself today. Walk tall and be proud of how you overcame hard things and will not be stopped. Be determine to share good news with others and when you need a real friend, God is always there. I prayed that God will give me real friends and he did. Live in a land of hope and never stop doing the right thing!
