LIFE ~ As life moves forward, I continue to learn about friendships.
There are different types of friendships and people who stay in our hearts forever. Kindness is an act that is remembered and it often starts with just a smile and kind word. The Bible tells us, Jesus is a friend who sticks by us during all times.
Proverbs 27:17 New International Version
As iron sharpens iron,
so one person sharpens another.
FOOTPRINTS ~ Each of us needs to guard our hearts in friendships.
There are many different types of friendships. The bible gives us instructions on who to hang around and let us remember that iron sharpens iron, just like one person sharpens another.
Proverbs 18:24 New International Version
One who has unreliable friends soon comes to ruin,
but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.
Proverbs 17:17 New International Version
A friend loves at all times,
and a brother is born for a time of adversity.
Proverbs 13:20 New International Version
Walk with the wise and become wise,
for a companion of fools suffers harm.
Proverbs 22:24-25 New International Version
Do not make friends with a hot-tempered person,
do not associate with one easily angered,
25 or you may learn their ways
and get yourself ensnared.
Inside our hearts are footprints of the past, present and even the future. We will places today that we didn't yesterdays of life. We will see how God carried us at times of choosing wrong in life, maybe enter new friendships and wanting to hang around someone who has been places we haven't. We can learn and grow from others experiences and throughout the Bible, are stories of lives. Lessons we can learn and hope we never fall short or into sin.
It is all connected, the past, the present and the future ~ Jeremiah 29:11
I might not know your name but God does. I might not know who reads this blog, but God's plan was for you to read this and me to write it. Setting into motion hope of a new day and guarding your heart as you head forward. Daily I pray for words to write and connect on this level with you. I hope that you pass my blog along to a friend as well.
When I was in grade school, I always wanted that one friend to hang out with on the play ground. I found myself standing alone most of the time. Then in middle school, I started getting real friendships. I was so happy to know that others would talk to me and want to share time with me. I still have a couple of those friends. Juanita and Cheryl came into my life and continue to be in my life. Each of them started a hope in my life that I wouldn't be alone and we would share time together. As I enter high school, I would develop more friendships. I would start seeing life different and I would find a lot of kids were on a level of being an acquaintance and not deep friendships.
As an adult, I see life in a full circle. I started off wanting friendships and I can honestly say I have a lot of great friends. Blessed beyond words in seeing things clear and knowing a friend is only a call away. I have also learned the importance of having Jesus as a friend and to be his friend. I have grown in many ways and I have learned to trust in Jesus.
God has created the Bible for our roadmap, Jesus as our friend and we can share time in many ways. I also know he has connected me to you who read this and my prayers are real. I care from the middle of my heart and pray daily for you, your family and friends. God has a purpose in all things and we learn to spur one another one in life.
Thank you for taking time to read this and plant hope in the beginning of a new day! What we put into our heart and mind matters. Thinking positive and cast away thoughts that are of no value.
