Proverbs 4:23 New International Version (NIV)
Above all else, guard your heart,
for everything you do flows from it.
Psalm 139:13-14 New International Version (NIV)
13 For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.
FINDING PURPOSE ~
I am fearfully and wonderfully made
When I think of the book of Genesis in the Bible, I think of the beginning and power of God. I see that Adam and Eve failed the Lord and sin came into action. I noticed how they blamed each other, rather than one person taking responsibility for their mistake. God didn't just tell Adam or just tell Eve things, but both of them. They knew what not to do in the garden. Then God clothed them because they are now naked. It changed the course of life and heartbreak started that day.
Genesis 3:8 (NIV)
Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the LORD God as he was walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and they hid from the LORD God among the trees of the garden.
COOL OF THE DAY ~
What happen that turn the perfect world of no sin, into sin? I find that to be free will. God gave Adam and Eve instructions of what they could not do. Just like us, we are giving the word of God (Bible), a complete roadmap of past and promises in the future. Walking with God is our daily choice and his freedom that travel with us everywhere we go. We have too much to gain in serving God than to loose. Our very own free will can get us into trouble or victories of life.
I was speaking to a group of women last night and found myself so in purpose. There is something bout my past that haunts me at times and yet freedom when I speak about how far God has brought my life. If we can only remember that the devils lies to us and wants us to stop in our hard moments of life. I get it now and I will not stop sharing the good news of God.
I can point fingers at someone else who hurt me or I can get over it and accomplish great things in life. My choices not only affect me, but others. I couldn't see that God would raise me up to become a speaker and leader in life. I saw my defeat and new normals scared me. Then one day, God spoke into my life as if I was truly born again. I knew that if I said yes to God, that things would become better. One of my favorite saying is this: I choose to become a better person and not bitter!
My prayers continue for you, your family and friends! Thank you for taking time to read this and please know that I care about the readers of my blog. It's not just words on a page, but prayers each day of my life go up for you. Purpose this a good day and count some blessings!
