Galatians 6:8-10 New International Version (NIV)
Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. 9 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. 10 Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.
DOING GOOD ~
Resting in the will of God
I wonder how many times I have said I trust the Lord with all my heart and then suddenly changes my normal. New normals are not easy at times of life. There are times when we must pick ourselves up from a situation and just trust the Lord. I've been in church singing songs about Jesus is all I need or resting on the promises of God. Then something happens and Jesus is not all I need. I need my family and my friends. I need that push to get through hard situations of life. I need that peace that only God can give. I love how God connects lives and it brings far more than I ever thought possible. New friendships in life and new communication with God. Praying and seeking his face.
Jeremiah 29:13 New International Version (NIV)
You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.
SEEK ME ~
Seeking God is important
Exodus 34:21 New International Version (NIV)
“Six days you shall labor, but on the seventh day you shall rest; even during the plowing season and harvest you must rest.
REST ~ God knew we needed rest in life. God worked putting our world together and rested on the 7th day. Putting down hard work and taking time to rest is important for each of us. He cares about our seasons of life and wants us to continue to rest in knowing he has our today covered. A peaceful heart and attitude is valuable. Sometimes we must purpose a peaceful mind and rest.
A brand new day brings new thoughts along with old thoughts. Turn your mind to God and allow him to show you what he has already done in life. We might forget where God brought us from in life. I never want to forget how God created new beginnings for me. I was broken and lost, then God connected me to people who knew how to help me. But guess what, I had to help myself too. I had to purpose a new mindset. Romans 12:1-2 tells us to renew our minds. Set my thoughts on greater is the Lord and I am able to press forward. I hope you let go of what you can't change and change the things you can!
My prayers continue for you, your family and friends.
