Joshua 24:15 New International Version (NIV)
But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.”
LOOKING THROUGH MY EYES ~
I choose to live kindness and carry the best example of Jesus that I can. I make mistakes and I need to start over again. It's the human side of us and there is nothing wrong with that. Wrong is allowing the enemy of your soul to stop you. Right, is allowing God to restore your heart and press forward. I heard that God can not give you his best, without you giving him your best!
1 Corinthians 2:9 New King James Version (NKJV)
But as it is written:
“Eye has not seen, nor ear heard,
Nor have entered into the heart of man
The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”
YOUR CHOICE ~
Surrendering your will to God's will. Life is truly short and we never know what a new day will bring. I find through the hardest things of life, God is developing my character in him. Leaving the past behind but growing from it. Living in the now, but planning for tomorrow. Developing into a stronger person daily and seeing myself the way God does. Looking into the mirror and see what God see's in you. A confident person who can overcome anything placed in front of them. Determination to make this life greater everyday.
LOOKING THROUGH MY EYES ~
I see the importance of family. People put together by God and we stick together through it all. As a kid, I had a mom, a dad and a brother who loved me. All of them rest in heaven now and I'm here with my husband, a daughter and son. Our kids grew up to have their own children. I am a wife, a mother, a grandmother and a friend. I also am a mentor, a teacher, leader, writer and see the importance of family. I have learned to be me and hold tight to my faith.
Family isn't always blood, but people that God connects together for a lifetime. Sometimes divorce happens and children get shared between two parents who love them greatly. My son (Chad) and his wife (Ashley) divorced a few years ago. They have two girls together and I love how they come together. Ashley remarried and now has twin daughters with Chris. Last night, we got together to takes the 4 years out for Halloween. It was Chad and his finance' Ashley, then mom Ashley and Chris, grandparents and the 4 girls. It was fun and so nice to see how people can come together for a special Holiday plus enjoy time.
We also went to my church Hillside Christian Church for a special Candy-land Event. Children's ministry put on the best Candy-land ever. Fun Characters, lots of time and so many volunteers to make this happen. Our children's pastor is amazing and I just love Stacy Marks plus her family. My Daughter Tracy and her husband Sean came with Averie. It was Averie first Halloween and dressed like Bell. A little princess for sure. My church is a family in many ways to us. Brought together by Tracy many years ago and we continue to serve there.
Family changes and so does each of us. We can purpose good times, pictures and love. We can begin a new day filled with hope and know that God is able to handle whatever this day brings. It's just a lot easier with those we love and we call family. Everyone is different and personalities too, but I have grown to love people where they are at. Sometimes it's best to let someone be them and you be you.
God created each of us for his divine purpose. When we surrender our lives to God, we become part of the family of God. Learning and growing daily by scriptures, worship and connecting with others. Looking through my eyes, I see the love of God being far greater than anything. I can see miracles with in my family and will always praise the Lord for that. I am a blessed woman and confident that God brings people together for a greater purpose.
My prayers continue for you, your family and friends.
