Proverbs 17:17 ~
Friends love through all kinds of weather, and families stick together in all kinds of trouble. (The Message)
A big brother meant everything to me. I wanted him in my life and I wanted to be forgiven for the rock. He said he forgave me but I never forgot that day. It is actually so clear in my mind today. Time moves fast and yet memories are like today it happened. Have you ever done anything in life, you just wish you didn't do?
FAMILY ~ The word family means different things to different people. Family to me is to be there for one another. Sharing hopes and dreams along with sorrows and frustrations. Life brings us each something different and yet when one thing happens to one person, it happens to all of us. I have prayed for my kids before they were born and I pray their lives would be filled with blessings. I can see the blessings in their lives, but I also have seen the sorrows of life. I have seen if something happens to one of my kids, the other one is right there. That's family and that's love.
John 15:13-17 King James Version
13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
14 Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.
15 Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.
16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.
17 These things I command you, that ye love one another.
FAMILY STICKS TOGETHER ~
God commands us to love one another.
I thank God daily for my family and how we stick together. We have learned to pray, fast and seek the Lord. We have learned to let go of somethings and press forward. We are not perfect, but we are always there for one another. I thank God for my brother and the 37 years he walked this earth. He died on Christmas Day at the age of 37 with cancer and I will never forget how our family then pulled together. My kids were little and loved their uncle Ronnie. Memories remain and love continues in our hearts for him.
FAMILY TODAY ~
A new day filled with opportunities to share the love of God with others.
Cherish family and friends, tell them you love them. Share stories of hopes, dreams and daily struggles of things too. Use your voice and encourage one another. Don't let one day go by without saying the words, I LOVE YOU to someone you care about in life. We aren't promised tomorrow and must live in today. Do your best in whatever situation you are faced with and keep the right attitude. Let's be honest, family isn't always easy to get along with at times. We must learn to agree to disagree, speak up with necessary and balance words. We learn how to get along and keep sharing life together. After all, life is short and we just never know what a new day will bring.
My prayers are with you, your family and friends.
