Psalm 36:5-9 (NIV)
5 Your love, Lord, reaches to the heavens,
your faithfulness to the skies.
6 Your righteousness is like the highest mountains,
your justice like the great deep.
You, Lord, preserve both people and animals.
7 How priceless is your unfailing love, O God!
People take refuge in the shadow of your wings.
8 They feast on the abundance of your house;
you give them drink from your river of delights.
9 For with you is the fountain of life;
in your light we see light.
Can you think of one person who you know is faithful to God? That might be a leader, a teacher, a friend or even yourself. I find myself faithful in writing this blog. I find myself faithful in being a friend, a leader and God knows the desires of my heart. I want to share hope everyday of my life to you and others. I know that some days are crazy hard and others are good. In the mixture of it all, God is faithful. He wants us to show his love back to others and to ourselves.
FOUNDATION OF LIFE ~
I love how faithful God is to us. Throughout his word (Bible) are stories of victories in life.
Matthew 14:13-21 (NIV)Jesus Feeds the Five Thousand
13 When Jesus heard what had happened, he withdrew by boat privately to a solitary place. Hearing of this, the crowds followed him on foot from the towns. 14 When Jesus landed and saw a large crowd, he had compassion on them and healed their sick.
15 As evening approached, the disciples came to him and said, “This is a remote place, and it’s already getting late. Send the crowds away, so they can go to the villages and buy themselves some food.”
16 Jesus replied, “They do not need to go away. You give them something to eat.”
17 “We have here only five loaves of bread and two fish,” they answered.
18 “Bring them here to me,” he said. 19 And he directed the people to sit down on the grass. Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, he gave thanks and broke the loaves. Then he gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the people. 20 They all ate and were satisfied, and the disciples picked up twelve basketfuls of broken pieces that were left over. 21 The number of those who ate was about five thousand men, besides women and children.
JESUS TAKES CARE OF US ~
When things look impossible, nothing is impossible with God. He opens amazing doors and we find him faithful. Never stop believing or holding on for a prayer to be answered! Some of my family and I, are ending a vacation time in Disneyland. I want to be honest today. I was concerned about money. Our son paid for the majority of the trip and blessed us. Terry and I needed food money and maybe some souvenirs. I struggled with the money thing and I cried, because I knew things were expensive in Disneyland. I grew up on the poor side of life and I don't like it as an adult.
The story continues, our money is limited and we must budget everything we do. But I find God so faithful. Someone came by our house the day before we left and handed us $200.00 in cash. Then someone else gave us a check for $100.00. God had placed us on their heart and supplied much needed dollars. Feeling overwhelmed with thankful heart, that $300.00 came in perfect with what we had. We had a wonderful time and thank God for people who listen to him. Also, for our son who made this trip even possible for us.
FAITHFUL ~ I believe that God hears our every want and desire. He does supply and not always in the ways we think he will. Some people have said to me, that I am so lucky to be at Disneyland and they are right. I wanted to be at the 60 year celebration of Disneyland and here I am. We are leaving this morning to drive home and my hear is so very thankful.
We did have moment of missing others that were here with us before, missing moms in Heaven and learning to do new normals. Life isn't always easy, but pressing forward is our only answer. Memories continue, new beginnings of a new day are here and here we go. Off to Sparkieland ~ HOME!
My prayers continue to be you, your family and friends.
