I THINK ABOUT WHAT GOD SAID:

Proverbs 22:6  King James Version (KJV)
Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

OUR EXAMPLE ~

There is someone who watches your life.

Maybe it's over Facebook, a blog, at home, church, work, school or even in a store.  I still remember my teacher from 4th grade and all the negative words that she said to me.  I seriously do not remember nice words from her. It changed my life forever and I can still heard kids laughing at me because I could not spell or read good. The playground wasn't fun, because of teasing.  I would walk home alone crying at times. Even as an adult, I see how I kept those memories alive of 4th grade and it change my outlook to become a better person when I grew up.

I saw this picture above about strong women and may we be them, may we raise them.  It made me think of my daughter. I made mistakes as a mom, but I see how I trained my daughter in doing what is right and the word of God. She grew up to make her own choices and is a strong woman who choose a career to help others.  I'm proud of her and I look up to her as an example to many kids and adults who value her work, her time and her ability to lead.  It wasn't my choices but her choices that made her who she is today.  She became even stronger than I ever imagine and I'm so proud of you Tracy!

TRAIN UP A CHILD ~

I Listen to my 7 year old granddaughter (Brookley) who was talking about what she wanted to be when she grew up. She said, "I can be anything I want to be, even the President of the United States".  I saw the determination in her eyes and she continued on by saying, "it's my choice when I get older".  I found a sense of peace come over me at that moment.  I realized that Brookley listen when I spoke other about older women who fought for rights to vote, work, lead and become anything they wanted to be in life. We might not always agree with someone, but we certainly have rights in America. I did the 7 year old talk and didn't give out too much information at this point of life. She smiled and told her daddy, "I can be anything I want when I grow up". She loves school and ready for it to start to see her friends. Each day presents a new beginning for each of us.

This is not just for women today, but also men.  Don't allow your voice to stop speaking up for what is right and true.  Your example to someone else is powerful and goes further than you know.  Each of us might feel a little defeat, tired or weary in well doing. The bible speaks of not coming tired in well doing, but we have a lot happening in one day.  Training up a child can be a new refreshing experience for older people who just starting searching for God.  Have patience in leading, teaching and guiding. Not everyone grew up in a church or a Christian home. Things change over time and we can become better people or bitter people. Keep that inter child alive and keep believing in greater things.

MY HEART ~
I lead from the middle of my heart.  My example is lead by doing what I would like someone else to do for me.  It took time for me to take care of myself and know that my life matters.  Over the years, I've grown, learned and watch the example of so many people.  Life is short and if we live each day as if it were our last, we find our attitude a bit different. We share the Jesus that lives inside of us and determinate to make a difference. Not everyone will understand you or even agree with you, but keep doing the right thing!

I am thankful for men and women who have gone before us to create a better life. I love that I have inside plumbing, electricity, a right to vote, freedom of mind and so much more. A family I love from the middle of my heart and people who read my blog. I certainly don't know everything, but I've been through enough to share a better life with others.

My thoughts and prayers are with the reader of my blog, your family and friends!
