Ecclesiastes 3 New International Version (NIV)
A Time for Everything
There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens:
2 a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
3 a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
4 a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
5 a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,
6 a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
7 a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
8 a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.
I was in a class last night at Church and we began to talk about how things change us inside. We can grow from situations of life or we can let it stop us. Just like the book of Job in the Bible, the man was a great example of going through hard stuff and the end of his life was greater. It's all the in between stuff that was crazy hard at times. We are like a book that is unread by many, because we just don't share real life with many. Isn't it great that God knows each of us and calls us by name. He knows exactly our heartbreaks, sorrows, victories and what's ahead.
Last night, I was talking about taking off the expectations of others in our lives. Not everybody will understand us because they haven't walked our path of life. As a kid, my mom and I walked into our house while 3 young men were robbing us. They got somethings from us, but the good news, we were okay. The fear of living in that house was real for me. I never went to bed without looking under my bed, in my closet and checking my window to make sure it was locked. My brother was right across the hall from me, but I remember crying myself to sleep many nights. I was afraid they would come back and rob us again. I needed someone to teach me the other side of fear.
Fear as a kid is real but fear as an adult is real too. The Bible says a time for all things. A time for fear but let's live in peace. The other side of fear is peace. Peace knowing everything is done to protect us from thoughts and actions that happen in life. God is able to handle my life now and my thoughts. God is able to handle yours too. Let's turn our thoughts to him today and remember how powerful it is to think positive.
EACH CLICK OF THE CLOCK ~
Is a true chance to live for God with all our hearts. To shine so bright and allow God freedom to mold us on the other side of life. God knew this would happen and he wants you to trust him. Much like how Job trusted God, you can too. My prayers continue for you, your family and friends. Don't allow the click to tick in a negative way.
