Corrie Ten Boom quote:
“If the devil cannot make us bad, he will make us busy.”
Yesterday, I heard a story about a teacher trying to park her car at a school. The mom driving was not from this same school, but dropping off a child in the wrong place. Parents tend to do this a lot because it's closer to drop off at the Elementary school. The point of my story is this, the mom driving showed frustration and anger. Not only to the teacher, but so many little kids walking into school. Other adults witnessed this too. Her example will be in minds of others. It was only moments of time, but time spent wrong. We must stop, think and then react. Is this the best possible action or can I handle it different? I have been frustrated while driving and my granddaughters remind me it's only a moment. I have learned to stop and realize kids watch my life too. How about you? Do you stop before you react?
Matthew 5:9-10 New International Version (NIV)
9 Blessed are the peacemakers,
for they will be called children of God.
10 Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
I know we are human and we do get frustrated. It's part of life, but it's part of life not to overreact too. Let the peace of God rule your life, your mind and your words. Yesterday was world kindness day too. I think that people need to slow down and allow more time to get places of life. I see how many kids are late the school daily and it's often the same kids. You wonder why not allow time for traffic and getting there before the bell rings. Yet, we don't know someone's life or what they must deal with at home. I was taught as a child to be on time. I will actually arrive early because I don't want to be late. I allow time for traffic and that's less frustrating in life. We just don't know what traffic might be like.
PEACE OF GOD ~
How about spiritually speaking? Do you allow yourself time to talk to God and let his peace rest in the middle of your heart? God speaks of blessed are the peacemakers. I just like peace rather than conflict with others. I learn from my own mistakes of life and go on. Nobody is perfect and that's the truth. Let God rule the inside of you and it will show on the outside to others. Your own example will go so much further than you know.
Colossians 3:15-17 New International Version (NIV)
15 Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. 16 Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. 17 And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
Its a beautiful day inside my heart and outside my door. I will purpose this a good day and hope you will too. Don't let the little things bug you and put on some music to fill your soul with joy. Singing praise to God is a way of peace too. I do know that many are facing hard things today and my prayers continue for you, your family and friends. It's our attitude through the storms of life that matters. It just seems a little harder when hard things happen to you. I know this by my own life. Yet, I know that God can bring peace like a river and it just flows in my heart. Thank you for taking time to read this and share it.
