The Need for Self-Discipline
24 Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. 25 Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever. 26 Therefore I do not run like someone running aimlessly; I do not fight like a boxer beating the air. 27 No, I strike a blow to my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize.
DO YOUR BEST ~
The choices we make daily make such a difference. It's not just a difference in our lives but others. I have seen my own actions affect someone else. That can be positive or negative and sometimes apologizes are needed. Nobody is perfect and we all make mistakes. If we could only think before we speak or react to things. Life changes and that changes us too. Let us not forget to open our Bibles and know God's word. The Bible says the truth will set us free.
John 8:31-32 English Standard Version (ESV)
The Truth Will Set You Free
31 So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed him, “If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, 32 and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
DO YOUR BEST ~
The Bible is the word of God and sets a roadmap for each of us.
Never doubt that the enemy of your soul wants to stop you from doing your best. If he can trip you up, he will. The devil can also paint a good picture, but the end of not so good. Guard your heart and minds against wrong thinking. God has an amazing plan for your life and don't let the enemy rob you from doing your best in a new day. God's plan wins and hold onto Jeremiah 29:11 a plan, a promise and a future.
I am beginning to see how much my life matters to some people. As I continue to do my best, I see that my best is good enough. I like to volunteer at the church, my granddaughters school and just help others in general. I like to live kindness and be a part of things. I sometimes feel left out, because I am not included in somethings. It's like you spent so much time doing something, but your really not part of their team. Then I stop to think about the why of me doing things. It isn't to be invited, but to help as much I can. My attitude is right and sometimes I must shake off those feelings to know the truth. I do my best daily and God continues to guide me. Never doubt that he is right there with you and helping you too.
My prayers continue for you, your family and friends.
