GOD IS GOOD
1 Chronicles 16:8 New International Version (NIV)
Give praise to the Lord, proclaim his name;
make known among the nations what he has done.
DO YOU HEAR ME ~
It was my question in my younger years. The wonder of God and if he heard me when I prayed. I was only 18 years old and I was told by someone that God didn't hear my prayers. I was told that he only heard the prayers of Christians and not sinners. Today, I know that was not true. God hears the cry of sinners or none of us would have a chance. You must guard your heart and know the truth (Bible).
Proverbs 4:23-27 New International Version (NIV)
23 Above all else, guard your heart,
for everything you do flows from it.
24 Keep your mouth free of perversity;
keep corrupt talk far from your lips.
25 Let your eyes look straight ahead;
fix your gaze directly before you.
26 Give careful thought to the paths for your feet
and be steadfast in all your ways.
27 Do not turn to the right or the left;
keep your foot from evil.
DO YOU HEAR ME ~
Above all else, guard your heart!
God is a God who cares and each situation we go through is for purpose. God allows us free will and that often changes our lives. We can not always blame the devil for things, when it was our own free will my friends. God does hear the cry of our hearts and wants the best for each of us. Allowing him freedom to make you and mold you into a better person. Each of us have made mistakes and it's time to change from the inside out. Be steadfast (Solid) in all your ways the Bible says in verse 26.
DO YOU HEAR ME ~
Jeremiah 29:11 A plan, A promise and A future
You might be saying today, but it's not my fault. I am going through this is life because of someone else. That someone else is going through things too. Making peace with your own soul is important and God. I have found in my own life, I have cared about others far more than I have cared about myself. It becomes time to take care of myself and then I can help others.
I went to our growth group last night and cried on the way home. The reason was this, I was hearing a story about Lori and her growth in God. She stepped out to lead our women's group last Wednesday. Then her husband heard a praise report about Lori leading. It was from a young girl who watched my life fall apart years ago and her mother helped me so much. She didn't understand the depth of a hurt, but she saw how one person who said, "I'll never go to church again", is actually not only going to church, but leading others. God does hear the cry of our hearts and we can become examples to others. A moment in time I will never forget last night.
In telling you that story, it isn't about me, but about the power of God. It was through the pain that God restored my life and helped me lean to him. It took time and dedication from my friend to continue to speak words of life to me. My own family who wouldn't give up on me and my daughter (Tracy) who truly became a hero to my heart. Post it notes work and she taught me that. Put it on the bathroom mirror and read kind words. God's word is full of amazing scriptures, hope and promises.
I'm telling you this today because it might be you who needs to read this. It might be a friend and you need to pass the story and hope onto them. It just might be me needing to write it and I'll never know who gains from it. But we all fall down at times in life. We get hurt by others, we might hurt ourselves, we might see too much to press forward. I am here today to tell you this ~ God is a great God and wants you to believe in miracles. I truly believing my life is a miracle by God.
We need others my friends. We need connections and communication. One life truly helps another in a positive way. It's through the disappointments that grow us into better people or bitter people. God is a God of restoration, healing, forgiving and starting over at times. Look toward the positive today and see how far God has brought your life. I am so glad you are reading this today and planting hope in a new day.
I do care about you, your family and friends. My prayers continue for each of you. I value your time and support in prayers too. Have a great day!
