Philippians 4:6-9 New Life Version (NLV)
Do not worry. Learn to pray about everything. Give thanks to God as you ask Him for what you need. 7 The peace of God is much greater than the human mind can understand. This peace will keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
8 Christian brothers, keep your minds thinking about whatever is true, whatever is respected, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever can be loved, and whatever is well thought of. If there is anything good and worth giving thanks for, think about these things.
9 Keep on doing all the things you learned and received and heard from me. Do the things you saw me do. Then the God Who gives peace will be with you.
DO NOT WORRY ~
Keep your mind on what is true!
The word of God (Bible) holds facts of yesterdays of life and also guides us today. Jesus who walked upon this earth and did his father's will. Others who came along side of him and miracles took places. Sorrows in some areas and yet people pulled together. Much like our lives today when we call upon the name of Jesus. He doesn't walk the earth in a human form, but he does live inside of people and we can feel his goodness.
I don't want to assume everybody reading this, knows Jesus. Giving your life to Jesus is simple. You ask him to forgive you of your sins and begin a new way of living. Freedom in your mind and heart of yesterdays gone bad. Open the Bible and begin to learn. Also, find a local church that teaches the Bible and meet some new friends. It's a step of faith and you can do it.
DO NOT WORRY ~
Verse 7 The peace of God is much greater than the human mind can understand. This peace will keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Doing what is right in life, is just right. So many people search for answers of why or how come in their lives. I find as I get closer to God, the why of things doesn't matter anymore. It more the question of how do I take the next step. Sorrow hits each of us and we learn from it. We either become better people or bitter people in life.
Jesus said in the verse above to follow after what he has done. He went about doing his father's will day by day. As I pray, I feel the Lord speak to my heart in changing my own attitude. Somethings look so simple to others and yet it is actually hard. It's hard to let go of somethings in life and change is not always easy, but it happens. This is where this verse comes in:
Proverbs 3:5-6 English Standard Version (ESV)
5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
and do not lean on your own understanding.
6 In all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make straight your paths.
For example, if someone tells you to jump and you trust them, you will jump. If Jesus tells you to trust him and he has this, then you must trust him. God knows best and it's hard to let go of trying to fix something or understand something. Our lives are made of up wanting to know answers. The only answer that matters, is God has this!
I've been through much in life and I've learned to trust in God. In areas that doesn't make sense to my brain, but overthinking only brings on stomach pains or headaches. Letting God handle it, develops a deep trust in God. I value that God gives me time to process things and he knows my heart. He knows the desires of our hearts as well. God is a total promise keeper and he has our lives handle. Our choices do matter and choose right ones!
My prayers continue for you, your family and friends. It's time to rest in God's plan and allow him to guide our lives. I thank God today for your reading this. Maybe you feel to pass it onto to someone you know. There are many people in broken places of life and just need a little reminder of how great God is in life. I have needed reminders at times and I so value the people who text to have a good day, a message of missing you or I'm praying for you today. Short messages, but showing love. So I wrote tis today to show you I care about the readers of my blog, your family and friends. I don't know who reads this, but God does and that makes the special connect. Purpose this a great day!
