If you sat down to write a letter to God, it might begin like this:
Dear God, I........
Hebrews 6:19-20 New Living Translation (NLT)
19 This hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls. It leads us through the curtain into God’s inner sanctuary. 20 Jesus has already gone in there for us. He has become our eternal High Priest in the order of Melchizedek.
There is hope with God, love, compassion, understanding, peace and the list goes on. Freedom in serving in him and through him. So many things change in our lives daily. I have said it many times, but we just might take for granted the beautiful new sky, air we breath, wind, flowers and the kindness of a stranger. We fill our brains with bad news in our cities and bad news of our country. What about the good news we can share? Simple things like a smile, open a door, let a driver in a car go ahead of us or most of all, sharing JESUS. We can carry a character of God and be an example everywhere we go.
Years ago, I was a youth counselor at a Christian Camp. It's seems so long ago, but kids would come from all over Northern Ca to join this camp. Some came happy, but some came sad. They didn't really want to be there and had to come. By the end of the camp, most of the kids didn't want to go home. That week of sharing Jesus and learning was fun, met new friends and share such joy of it. When we would teach the kids about Jesus and the power in his name. It all starts off by being thankful we have a new day.
Dear God,
Thank you for a new day!
Let us purpose this a good day, share the love of God and speak good words. Words can last a lifetime in our lives. Speaking the positive is important and brings life unto a soul. People often make time for the Gym, running and riding bikes, but I wonder how much time is taken for their soul. Our soul is important to take care of in life. Reading the Bible, sharing time with others and speaking life words. I am a firm believer we think negative, it brings depression and sadness. I was just a kid when my mom would speak such negative words. She knew the day was going to be bad and it was. She knew bad luck would come and it did. She kept the negative going so much of my life. Each day is another chance to speak good words and life to yourself.
Psalm 118:24 New King James Version (NKJV)24 This is the day the Lord has made;
We will rejoice and be glad in it.
THIS DAY ~
Give some thanks for all the things you do have in life. I am grateful for so many things but most of all, I am grateful for a new day! Everything else falls into alignment of God's word and my yes to him. My own actions makes such a difference and so does yours.
My prayers continue for you, your family and friends.
