10 Create in me a pure heart, O God,
and renew a steadfast spirit within me.
11 Do not cast me from your presence
or take your Holy Spirit from me.
12 Restore to me the joy of your salvation
and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.
FREEDOM OF MIND ~
ROMANS 12:1-2 (NIV)
A Living Sacrifice
12 Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. 2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
FREEDOM OF MIND ~
I find that reading scriptures brings life choices. Doing the right thing in life, is just right. Carrying on the character of Jesus is so important. People watch our lives whether we realize it or not. We might be the only Jesus someone really sees in life. Create in me a purse heart is one turning from sin and mistakes of life. Letting go of things we can not change and certainly changing the things we can. Having a pure heart takes prayer and dedication to God daily. Words become an action and not just words.
Giving your heart to God, means you are learning a new way of surrender and living your life. Life isn't always about you, but others. Your actions make such a difference and kind words can go so far in life. I have watched people who said they were christians, but their actions was so different than kind. Kind words brings a happy to your heart as well. I like it when someone says something nice about me, how about you? Do you like people to compliment you and share positive things?
Read this scripture again:
PSALM 51:12 (NIV)
Restore to me the joy of your salvation
and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.
When you pray, it is good to ask to restore the joy of salvation and grant you a willing spirit. I pray this too and there are times when I need the joy of my salvation restored. My prayers continue for you, your family and friends. Be joyful and count blessings of this new day.
