Romans 8:31-39 New International Version
More Than Conquerors
What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32 He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?33 Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. 34 Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of Godand is also interceding for us. 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? 36 As it is written:
“For your sake we face death all day long;
we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.”
37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
COUNTING ON GOD ~
Don't let anything separate you from God
Looking through my eyes, I can clearly see how God has brought me through many hard things. Things in which I didn't see a victory in, but there was. Times of fears and tears just went together over situations. I learned quickly to call upon someone else to pray. Someone else to seek God for me, because I was just too broken. Prayer work and I see how God has given me a great family plus friends. I will never forget a phone call from Darlene years ago. She said, "I will pray and I will hold on for you". I see the importance of real friends who become family. I believe God knew I needed to hear her words of holding on for me. God did a miracle, but the miracle was in the process of time.
As I stop today and take a few minutes to look at God's miracle working power, I see so many miracles in my life, my family and my friends lives. It is easy to say God is good all the time and all the time God is good. A statement I learned about 20 years ago at my church in Napa. Jawella would say that every Sunday as she spoke when our service would begin. I planted those words deep inside of me and has came into play so much.
Life can be hard if we are honest. What you do today, will certainly affect your day and even tomorrow. I have people who text me to pray or send me messages over Facebook. I feel like people know they can count on me to pray. I just don't say I'll pray, but I actually do it. I know the power of prayer and seeking God on behalf of others. I also know the importance of me seeking God for myself too. A true communication with God and knowing he cares makes such a difference. I don't know what you are facing today, but please know I do pray daily for the readers of my blog, your family and friends. God is able to handle whatever you are facing. Making positive choices in your life and be the example you always wanted in life.
