BIBLE: I am the bread of life.
John 6:35-40 New International Version (NIV)
35 Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty. 36 But as I told you, you have seen me and still you do not believe. 37 All those the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never drive away. 38 For I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the will of him who sent me. 39 And this is the will of him who sent me, that I shall lose none of all those he has given me, but raise them up at the last day. 40 For my Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.”
BIBLE: I am the bread of life.
Our lives are planned by God and he has given us free will. It's just like baking with my granddaughters. It's my choice to say yes we can bake and it's their will if they actually do it. We agreed and it all works out great and we have fun together. Their stepmom (Ashley) and I let them do most all of baking themselves yesterday. It was a fun day.
When I gave my heart to God, it was a feeling I can't explain. A peace came over me and joy filled my soul at age 19. I began to learn of his word (Bible) and I began to ask others questions. I knew who Adam and Eve was, but I didn't know their complete story. I had to read it and over the years, more stories would unfold and people are just people inside the Bible. Some said yes to God and did not say yes. It is just like our world today and people are different. There is peace in knowing God within your heart and mind, that God is in control if you let him.
Matthew 11:28-30 New International Version (NIV)
28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
There are times when I do feel weary in life. Especially since we are living in a pandemic lifestyle and shelter in place. Some people are dealing with it good and others feels overwhelmed. The big question is when will it all end? Nobody knows that answer of life right now. So daily, we must trust God and lean to him for peace of mind.
When I think about cookies again, I know that not everyone likes cookies or can eat cookies because of sugar. Although, you can make cookies without sugar. Some people have learned to limit their cookie intake of life. A true balance and that's important in everything we do in life. Over time, we continue to learn and grow daily. Let us continue to learn of God's ways and balance our lives too.
What do you need to balance today? It's often hard to say no when some a child asked for another cookie, but it's the same as God is with us. Sometimes God says no, because he knows what's best for for us. It's in the process of time that we can look back and see how that no was better than yes. At least that's how it happens in my life. Now, I pray God's will and ask him to help me understand the process of change. I ask him to help me balance things of life and my time. I have learned that time is the best gift you can give anyone and I choose to give God my morning time. I get up early to write my blog and pray. It's a good way to start your day off in prayer, praise and connecting with God.
My prayers continue for you, your family and friends.
