I often think of electricity when I think of faith. Faith is something we must plug into and it becomes powerful. Faith turns on a light inside of us, that travels further than we can imagine. I heard it said, "you never know how strong you are, until being strong is the only choice you have".
TO THE RIGHT POWER PLUG
There is power in words and in actions. God begins the Bible speaking of the beginning in Genesis 1. The beginning which God created the heavens and the earth. God created light and separated darkness. You can continue reading in the book of Genesis how things changed. By faith we move forward through hard things and good things. Faith is unseen in many cases but is still there. Faith is like Wi-Fi of life. Connect with it and allow God to mold you.
Matthew 17:20 New International Version (NIV)
20 He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”
Nothing will be impossible for you can be a hard verse to hold onto. We look through eyes of our now and we feel the frustration of a impossible situation. The wonder of it all begins and there can be a peace in the middle of our lives. Looking into a mirror and seeing how far you have come in life. A stronger you and heading out in life with faith. You know to plug into faith and hold strong through it all.
There was a point in life when I was about 9 years old and my mom went to church. I remember going in thinking how strange it was to be there. Watching people raise their hands and a man would talk about faith. Later I would find that the man was the Pastor and I listen to his words. When troubles hit you, you reach out by faith. You can God and trust him. Those couple of sentences would stay with me all my life.
As you grow in life, so does your reaction to things!
Church was a connecting point for me to hear about faith and wasn't sure what to do with it at 9 years old. But I got hit in the head and it was bleeding. I ask my mom to call the Pastor to come pray for me. Him and his wife came and prayed the prayer of faith. My head stopped bleeding. They washed it up and put a bandage on it. Later that night, my mom would remove the bandage and not even a scar was there. The cut was pretty deep. It amazed me and my faith began to grow. It also helped my dad because he didn't believe at all. There is something about witnessing a miracle.
Matthew 21:21 New International Version (NIV)
21 Jesus replied, “Truly I tell you, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and it will be done.
DO NOT DOUBT ~
God did not bring you this far to leave you
In life, it can be hard not to doubt. Our normals seem to only get worse and our eyes seem to look down instead of up. Holding on by faith is a choice and a desire to allow God freedom to change you. It is also about our own free will and choices. We often blame God, when it wasn't his fault at all. Have you ever been blamed for something you didn't do? I have and it broke my heart. I have learned to take ownership of my own choices and allow myself to change. We are not perfect people, but people who can make right choices and lean to God for answers. He places people in our lives and path to see things different. A real friend will encourage you to do the right thing and press into God.
I do have some friends who do not believe in God, but they keep doing the right thing. We do believe different and we do live in a free world of choices in America. For me, church has become a place of meeting great people, giving God my praise and allowing him to use my life. It is a major connection in my life. It wasn't always that way because I got hurt really bad in church years ago. Then I realized, it was the church, it was a few people. Do not allow people to still your joy or your praise. It's a new day and we are heading in the Easter Season of praise and remembering. So remember the great things in your life and count some blessings this day!
My prayers continue for you, your families and friends.
