Matthew 7:24-29 New International Version (NIV)
The Wise and Foolish Builders
24 “Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practiceis like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. 26 But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. 27 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.”
28 When Jesus had finished saying these things, the crowds were amazed at his teaching, 29 because he taught as one who had authority, and not as their teachers of the law.
LET'S TALK ABOUT IT ~
Building our house and lives on the rock is so important. The rock being God and our example becoming seen by others. Yesterday I spoke to a friend who found out her son has a brain tumor. Her son is only 29 years old. Her husband died a year ago this month. So much devastation in one family in less than one year. Yet, a trust in God beyond measure. I told her I would ask people to pray and now I'm asking you to pray for her son named Erin. She kept saying this, "GOD IS ABLE". I totally agree with her that God is able to give Erin a miracle of health. Join with me in agreement that this young man will receive a miracle of health.
We never know what one day will bring my friends. I remember being about 30 years old and my husband fell from a construction site over 40 feet. He received a broken leg, cracked ribs and a life change for a season. He had to go through a lot of physical and emotion things, but God was able to raise him up over time. We learned a lot in our younger years and seen too many miracles to doubt the power of God. I felt to encourage you today too. Whatever you are facing, know that God is able!
I've been in hard financial places and somehow God came through right on time. Holding on for each other in life is valuable. Sometimes it just gets hard and the road seems dark, but stir up that faith. A new day brings hope and encouragement that God is able.
God, we thank you for connecting our lives. We don't know what each other is going through but you. We are agreeing now and holding on for each other in this life. Asking that the impossible to human eyes, will change through your holy spirit. Give us eyes to see how to help each other and ears to hear each other. Give peace in the middle of situations today. Help us to see how valuable our circle of life is and outside our circle. We are agreeing now for Erin and whoever needs a miracle today. God you are totally able and we count on that in life. Also, help Erin family and his mom who has been through so much. We ask for a good doctor's report as they continue to press forward. I thank you God for a blog that connects lives and hope that only you can give. AMEN
My prayers continue for you, your family and friends.
