The Lord's Prayer
“And when you pray, you must not be like the hypocrites. For they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and at the street corners, that they may be seen by others. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward. 6 But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.
7 “And when you pray, do not heap up empty phrases as the Gentiles do, for they think that they will be heard for their many words. 8 Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him. 9 Pray then like this:
“Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name.
10 Your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
11 Give us this day our daily bread,
12 and forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
14 For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you, 15 but if you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
CLOSED DOOR ~
6 But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.
The Lord's prayer is one to live by in life. When we pray, we grow stronger in God. When we pray in the secret place, it's a conversation between you and God. God said that who prays in secret, he will reward you. God's promises will come to pass and we will see how prayer works. If we could only see how precious one day of life can be. People sometimes live frustrated and forget to pray. God can bring peace and a calm to your soul. Trusting in his higher power is where I live from in life. Sure, I get frustrated at times but I remind myself that God has never failed me. My faith has carried me at times that were hard.
CLOSED DOOR ~
Behind that door are our hopes and dreams
A closed door can also mean to stay out. It can protect you and keep you from danger. It can mean that something is closed and you can't enter. It can mean you are home and time have with family. A door is there to open and close. I know that God has closed doors in my life and that steered me into a new direction. I like some closed doors and I like open doors. I love opening my door to living to birds in the mornings as I write my blog daily. When seasons change, I still like opening my door to listen to the rain fall. Doors have purpose in our lives. Doors of opportunity can change our lives too.
I look at life as a door. A door of dreams and hopes. A door that God has given me freedom from sins of life. An open door to Heaven one day and until that day, I will count blessings of each day and do my best to live the best life I can. I was thinking yesterday and I do have hopes plus dreams. I want the best for my family and friends. I want the best for every human in life. God created us the same and wants to use our lives. What are you doing today that helps someone else? What are you doing today that helps you?
As we continue to live in shelter in place, let us learn from this time of life. Learn to grow deeper in God and learn to stir up our faith. I am glad that people text me to pray and seek God for them. I know that trust me and know that I can keep a secret too. Behind the door of Sparkie, is a person who cares and will continue to hold on for you. I have also learned that going through one doors, leads to another open door by God. I do believe that God continues to do miracles in everyday life. We just don't always hear of them, but they are happening.
Today is a day to count blessings of everyday life. Life might not look like we thought, but it's certainly an opportunity to do our best in it. My prayers continue for you, your family and friends.
