Life is full of changes and often times our broken places of life, leads us to blessings unseen. It was the midnight hour years ago and I cried out to God. I didn't understand the why of things in my life and I didn't like my attitude of being negative. Being negative got me no where but anger. I needed God to create a right heart inside of me.
Psalm 51:10-12 New International Version (NIV)
10 Create in me a pure heart, O God,
and renew a steadfast spirit within me.
11 Do not cast me from your presence
or take your Holy Spirit from me.
12 Restore to me the joy of your salvation
and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.
CIRCLE OF LIFE ~
Crying out to God, changed me!
Crying out to God, will change you too!
Have you ever been in a place of life when you questioned God? The why of it just seems to overpower your mind and you tried to reason things out. There are times when things suddenly happen and your faith could be tested. We can not let the hard things of life stop us from believing big in God. I was in a place of life when I needed God to restore the joy of my salvation. I had gotten hurt very bad by church people and I never wanted to return to church again. The hurts of my life consumed me in my early 30's. But I became restless and I knew that staying away from church wasn't the answer. The few people who hurt me, wasn't the complete church. It was my choice to allow God to mend things and help me forgive those who hurt me.
My daughter (Tracy) taught me that we can forgive someone, but that doesn't mean we need to put that someone back into our lives. I forgave the ones who hurt me, found a new church and began to grow in God. Leaving behind some very hurtful things, but I see how the experience has helped me to help others. I guess I have a story unwritten, that I need to write about soon. Someone might be waiting on my story to help them get out of a broken place.
POWER IN WORDS ~
There is so much power in the way we speak to someone. We can uplift them and encourage them or tear them down by words. I like how God says we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us ~ Philippians 4:13. The joy of the Lord is our strength ~ Nehemiah 8:10.
CIRCLE OF LIFE ~
We are given one life for a reason. A divine purpose to live in freedom of mind and soul. Time to break out of what stops you from pressing forward. Life is not a competition but daily choices of doing the righ thing. It's important to take care of you and allow God to send people into your life. Not everyone grows up in a Christian home or even knows about Jesus. I remember being a youth pastor and I had a young 15 year old who had never heard about Jesus. She was brought to church by a friend and began to ask questions. She grew in that group and learned much about life.
Church is a place to grow, learn, praise and more. That special connect between you and someone else. Mostly with God and you, but the journey takes you much deeper than self. If you want to except Jesus into your heart, it's easy. You talk to him, like you talk to a friend. Ask Jesus to forgive you of your sins (mistakes) and come into your heart.
If you don't have a home church and live close the Napa, I want to invite you to my church. Hillside Christian Church 100 Anderson Road, Napa CA. We have three services on Sunday. A 9am, 11am and 6:30pm.
As the circle of life continues, we learn from others and live in grace and mercy. A new day is here and we have another chance to make a difference.
My prayers continue for you, your family and friends. Thank you for taking the time to read this and plant hope in a new day. Don't forget to count some blessings!
