Joy Comes with the Morning
A Psalm of David. A song at the dedication of the temple.
I will extol you, O Lord, for you have drawn me up
and have not let my foes rejoice over me.
2 O Lord my God, I cried to you for help,
and you have healed me.
3 O Lord, you have brought up my soul from Sheol;
you restored me to life from among those who go down to the pit.
4 Sing praises to the Lord, O you his saints,
and give thanks to his holy name.
5 For his anger is but for a moment,
and his favor is for a lifetime.
Weeping may tarry for the night,
but joy comes with the morning.
CHRISTMAS JOY ~
Joy comes in the morning
Have you ever thought of how a morning can be refreshing? Verse 5 above speaks about anger is but for a moment, but his favor is for a lifetime. Let us stop there for now. There are things of life that frustrate us and bother us, but if we lean toward God, we will find courage to do the right thing. So often people miss out on life because they act in the moment and not in the lifetime. I hope that makes sense to you, because I was praying this morning and found myself saying God I do trust you with my life. I do trust you that you will handle the things I pray about in life.
Now let us go to the second part of verse 5 above, weeping may tarry for the night, but joy comes in the morning. I have seen myself be so troubled over things at night and in the morning, I find the strength to trust God even more. In the even more times, Joy can come in all situations of life. That's where we must look for it. It's not hidden, but often hidden behind the sorrows. We just stir our faith up and allow God to be God in our lives. People make choices that affect us, but the Jesus inside of me says this, "Do the right thing and I will handle it". Giving things over to God still allows us to make great choices in life. Each new day brings hope and a chance to refresh our souls in God.
CHRISTMAS ~
It isn't just about giving gifts but about a baby born named Jesus. His love is everlasting and helps us in each day of our lives. Let us never forget to give thanks for him or the life we do have. So often we focus on the negative or the things we don't have in life. Let us focus on the Jesus we do have in this new day and the lives that were changed because of him. His life continues to change lives and walk in the way of the Bible. So many religions, but don't get caught us in religion but focus on the Bible. We can read it different, we can live it different, but the truth is inside on pages from beginning to end.
JOY ~
It's here right now. Go ahead and count some blessing this day. For those who need to feel the joy, I find the music is good for the soul. I find that calling a friend helps. I find that calling on the name of Jesus and just resting in his presence helps me. I find that above all things, Joy means "Jesus Others You". Don't forget that you make a difference and you can only do what God created you to do. Be the one to change and let God lead the way.
My prayers continue for you, your family and friends. Thank you for taking the time to read this and plant joy in your life this day!
