I went to a Church Service with a friend and found her Pastor speaking on giving that perfect gift. What happens when you just know you are giving that special gift and that person doesn't see it so special? What if we could give the special gift all year long and that would be the Jesus inside of us. His story that gives new hope to someone? Maybe a complete life can change just because of your actions and it spread to them wanting Jesus too!
Romans 8:10-20 New International Version (NIV)
10 But if Christ is in you, then even though your body is subject to death because of sin, the Spirit gives life because of righteousness. 11 And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you.
12 Therefore, brothers and sisters, we have an obligation—but it is not to the flesh, to live according to it. 13 For if you live according to the flesh, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live.
14 For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God. 15 The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba, Father.”16 The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. 17 Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.
Nobody is perfect and we all sinned in life. The new me tries really hard daily to show the love of God and yet I make mistakes. I need to ask forgiveness and learn from them. I find myself as an adult and often feel like that little girl inside. I get scared over things, but I find peace in Jesus. I really gave my heart to him and it makes me see things different. I hope your day after Christmas still lives in a fullness of knowing God is real. His power is greater than anything we can ever experience. He created the heavens and earth for a purpose. He created you for a purpose too. Be encouraged today and spread kindness everywhere you go. Happy New Day!
My prayers continue for you, your family and friends.
