THE CHRISTMAS STAR ~
Matthew 2:7-10 New International Version (NIV)
7 Then Herod called the Magi secretly and found out from them the exact time the star had appeared. 8 He sent them to Bethlehem and said, “Go and search carefully for the child. As soon as you find him, report to me, so that I too may go and worship him.”
9 After they had heard the king, they went on their way, and the star they had seen when it rose went ahead of them until it stopped over the place where the child was. 10 When they saw the star, they were overjoyed.
CHRISTMAS EVE EVE ~
Preparing to see the STAR
I like how the star guided and stopped over the place where Jesus was. It continues to say, "When they saw the star, they were overjoyed". Jesus brings joy to people lives even today. I realize that many don't believe but many do believe. The Bible holds the truth of the past, present and future. People who went before us and stories have been told. The star is often put at the top of Christmas trees as a reminder of Jesus. He is the guiding light.
How about you? Are you overwhelmed with Christmas shopping, traffic and people who are not so nice? I dislike the crowds of people when they are not nice. For example, my granddaughters and I were standing a line at Starbucks. This older woman walked up and said, "Oh I found the line" and she cut right in front of us. In order not to make a scene, we just left. The line was extra long anyway and I became frustrated at how people just don't care. I guess I should have told that person we were in line. I just got caught off guard.
THE CHRISTMAS STAR ~
I heard of the goodness of God and now I experience it in my own life. I make decisions and some of them are not right, but many are right. I gave my heart to God and asked him to guide me. Overtime I look up in the sky and see stars, I just thank God for his amazing power. I have seen miracles in my life time. Miracles for others, but miracles for myself too. I also realize that sometimes the miracle is in the process of time. I know it is good to stop and give God thanks for stars, the sky, the earth and everyday living. We have too much to gain than to loose.
My prayers continue for you, your family and friends.
