Matthew 18:2-4 New International Version (NIV)
2 He called a little child to him, and placed the child among them. 3 And he said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. 4 Therefore, whoever takes the lowly position of this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
When I was a child, I would set my stuff animals up in my room and begin to teach them. I remember telling them that one day, I would teach kindness when I grow up. I'm not sure why I didn't think I could teach kindness as a kid. It was like I spoke life unto myself and knew that kids/adults needed help in the kindness area. God speaks of us coming to him like a child. A child believes and doesn't always question things in the beginning.
CHILD LIKE FAITH ~
Psalm 116:7 New International Version (NIV)
7 Return to your rest, my soul,
for the Lord has been good to you.
It's important to recognize how God has been good to you. Tell yourself to rest and allow God freedom to continue to mold you. Have you ever watched a child stand on something and all of sudden, he or she jumps into your arms? They have no fear and trust that you will catch them. God holds the same kind of attitude toward us. He knows that we might jump and he is always ready to catch us.
Proverbs 3:5-7 New International Version (NIV)
5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
6 in all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight.
7 Do not be wise in your own eyes;
fear the Lord and shun evil.
As an adult, I wish I had more answers for others, but I don't. God doesn't always share his complete plan in one day. It takes a trust in God and a made up mind to serve him. Yet, sometimes are just hard to understand. I grab onto verse 5 above about trusting with all my heart and leaning not to my own understand. Life can often seem so much easier for some and harder for others. I write about living your own life and making God a priority. When I was a child and heard that Jesus loves me, it made such a difference in my heart. I wasn't a child who went to church on a regular bases, but when I did, I sure listen.
CHILD LIKE TRUST ~
We are all different and believe a bit different too. We are taught things in life and we continue to learn as we get older. Don't loose the kid inside of you. Those hopes and dreams might still be there and you want to see some come to pass. Your hidden prayers to God are not hidden. God knows your heart, your desires and wants to fulfill them. As we get older, we see things different but I hope I never forget where God brought me from in life and the miracles I've seen.
I hope for the readers of my blog, your family and friends. I know that God is real and wants the best for you. Some need a miracle of health and I have seen miracles of health. Some need a miracle of finances and seen that happen too. Whatever you are in need of today, I believe with you. God answers and I know his timing might not seem good, but he is always right on time. Purpose this a good day and keep believing.
