GOOD MORNING FAMILY AND FRIENDS ~
Proverbs 15:30 New Living Translation (NLT)
A cheerful look brings joy to the heart;
good news makes for good health.
A NEW DAY ~
When I start my day off thinking about all the good things God has already done for me, it brings joy to my heart. Through the time of Thanksgiving and Christmas, many people show the joy of the season. I was out yesterday shopping and heard Christmas music in the stores. Some people who smiling and picking up things, while I noticed sad faces on other people. Not everyone enjoy this time of year.
I believe that each day of life is another chance to spread good news about God and live with a happy heart. I think that some of my joy comes from age. As I grow older, I find the good in each day and I want to spread kindness through my life. As a kid, I was bullied and I cried a lot. I wanted to have real friends and felt often so alone. Even as an adult, I struggled in choosing right friendships. It took me years to just enjoying being me. I can smile just knowing that Jesus loves me and my family/friends too.
2 Corinthians 9:6-7 New Living Translation (NLT)
Remember this—a farmer who plants only a few seeds will get a small crop. But the one who plants generously will get a generous crop. 7 You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. “For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.”
A NEW DAY ~
Giving of one's self is important. Not everyone goes to a church or believes the same. We can show the love of God through our lives. One act of kindness can change someone else. One act of kindness also can make your heart happy. Sometimes anger, frustration and discouragement can come into our lives. It's important to get rid of it quickly.
Ephesians 4:31-32 New Living Translation (NLT)
Get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger, harsh words, and slander, as well as all types of evil behavior. 32 Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you.
A NEW DAY ~
What we think upon matters
As I was shopping yesterday, I found myself seeing things my mom or brother would like for Christmas. Then I suddenly realized, they live in Heaven and it brought some tears to my eyes. So I quickly started looking at other things. I know that my mom and brother rest in Heaven with God. It brought my mind to how the season of Thanksgiving and Christmas can bring us to people who are missing in our lives. They hold a part of our heart and thoughts will come. When thoughts come, make sure you allow yourself times for tears, but also time for counting blessings of the time you had with them.
Over the years of my life, I've grown deeper in God and I trust him with timing of things. I don't always understand the timing, but I learned that he knows best. I must do my part and count blessings while some tears may come. I believe God created the Heavens and the Earth. I believe he created you and me for a greater purpose. One of those reasons is to share his love with others.
You are share one act of kindness today. That can be through a text message, an email, a phone call or even holding a door open for someone. There is so many ways to be kind and a smile will just naturally come to someone. Each day is time to spread Christmas (JESUS) cheer.
Happy new day and please know that my prayers continue for you, your family and friends. I know that somedays are just hard and I care.
