John 15:12-17 New International Version (NIV)
12 My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. 13 Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. 14 You are my friends if you do what I command. 15 I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you. 16 You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you.17 This is my command: Love each other.
I find myself learning daily of things to say and not to say. I do my best to treat others with kindness and do what I think I would like if it were me. Prayers make a difference and I believe that.
The fire storm has shown me that material things vanish in minutes. Heart remain broken for a very long time and you can replay over the things you saw. I will always remember my son in law Sean seeing the flames out the bathroom window about midnight. My daughter Tracy just received a text message from a friend telling her about a fire in her area. It happened at the same time. I often wonder what if Sean didn't see the flames and Tracy didn't get that text message? There story might be so different. I believe God use these two happenings to get them out of the house. The winds that night were about 60plus miles per hour. Just trying to picture what they saw makes me cry.
GOD, I will forever we grateful for their lives and all the people who continue to come around them with blessings. Starting over isn't going to really happen for about a year in their own house, but they continue to have their home where they live. They still can not get up their road to asset things on their property. I ask largely that peace beyond a human understanding will happen for them. That rest in the daytime and night time happens. Let their new normal be one that is easier than they might think. Give them health as they both go through some medical procedures. Thank you God for the readers of my blog and those who share real life with me. AMEN
Readers of my blog ~ I might not know your name or who reads this, but feel free to write me at firstname.lastname@example.org and I promise to write back. Life can have ups and downs for each of us. Somethings so hard to understanding and learning to lean to God and not ask why on somethings. Life is precious and memories often stay whether good or bad. Try your best to push away the negative and pop in the positive. My prayers continue for you, your family and friends.
