For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.
This week has shown me the value of friendships. November 1 through the 5th are birthdays of great friends of mine. Angie, Tamara, Brandi, Ana, Liane, Darlene "Speedy". Some friends turn into family and we stay connected forever. Each of these lives continue to show me different things. I love how God connects lives and we can grow from one another. I love the scripture in Ephesians that says we are God's masterpiece. Each one designed on purpose and so different.
Life can be so short and we often miss out on things because of busyness of life. It's good to slow down and let God give us rest. Rest is important whether we are sitting in a chair or calming down our lives from busyness. I believe this scripture too: Psalm 37:4 ~ Delight yourself in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart.
BIRTHDAYS ~
Celebrations of life
It is good to stop and know on our birthdays we must count blessings not candles. It's so exciting when we are little to become 8 1l/2 or 12 1/2 to almost become a teenager. Yet, when we turn 39, no a lot of people want to be 40 years old or even add that half to your number. I am currently 64 and I want to live, but the number 65 seems a bit hard for me. It means I'm old enough for medicare and I still feel like a kid inside. It was September 18th of this year when I had a heart attack. I can promise you this, I never thought of an age, but only thought of living. I don't want to die and I want to continue to live for Jesus. Someone told me but you will be with Jesus when you die. My response was this, but I have grandkids, kids and I teach others to live for Jesus. I just want to live on earth.
Living means we don't stay stuck on things we can not change. I wasted a lot of time thinking over things I just needed to let go. How about you? Do you live in peace of mind and let go of things? Let us think of things that truly matter in life. The little things can stay little and move past it. I don't care about crumbs on my counter today, but that I got to eat. I hope that makes sense. Should I clean off the crumbs, yet, but not let it be an issue. My husband has left crumbs on a counter for many years. A little things that bugs me, but it doesn't matter anymore. I'll just clean it up. The point of this story is to pick and choose what really matters in life.
This week I have celebrated all of my friends who had a birthday and continue to make a difference in my life. I want them to know how special they are to me and how I know God connected our lives. My friendship years is different with each one and I am happy it continues. Happy birthday week my friends.
TODAY ~
Let us celebrate our lives too. Knowing that God is taking care of us and purposed us on earth. Our examples go further than we know and living for God continues to make changes in our lives. Put on music and let the joy of the Lord be your strength.
My prayers continue for each one of you, your family and friends. Purpose this a good day.
