Jesus was talking to the disciples ~
John 14 New International Version (NIV)
Jesus Comforts His Disciples
“Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me.2 My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. 4 You know the way to the place where I am going.”
Have you ever had that moment in time when you needed to stir your faith? Maybe a friend who you moved away and you felt alone? Maybe a family member who went to Heaven way too soon? So many things happen in life and we are told that Jesus is enough. Think for a moment how the disciples must have felt. Their friend (Jesus) they walked with in life, was going away. Going to prepare a place and it might have been hard to let him go. After all, the disciples were like us and had emotions too.
I can not doubt the power of God when I see the waves in the ocean, the sun in the sky and the wind that blows. Things I can't always touch with my hands but feel with my heart. So many changes happen in one day and we must remind ourselves who is in charge. Do I believe in a big God who controls this planet or do I live in fear of the unknown? Well If fear isn't given by God, then I don't want it. I cast fear away and allow new thoughts to enter my now of life. Nothing is too big for God.
Just like Jesus told the disciples to believe and to hold on, he tells us to believe in our lives and hold on. After all, he went away for the disciples but for us too. A life that was given for our sins and to become a new person in God. A hope of today and to allow rest to enter our minds. Stop thinking that it can't happen to you because of whatever reason. God loves you and wants the desires of your heart come to pass too. Maybe you need a new job or just a new beginning. Time to change our mindset to positive.
IT'S NOT FAIR ~
As we watch other's dreams come true, we might wait for ours to come true.
God's timing is perfect and things happen to each of us. It is our attitude that matters and helps us through storms of life and joys of life. I am excited about this Christmas. I already started putting up my Christmas decorations with my granddaughters. The reason I started decorating is this, Christmas is about Jesus and his birth. A time of celebration and also I am an Elf with Speedy for the Foster Family Christmas Party. A time of making little kids fill loved and help spread some smiles. Life isn't always fair my friends, but we can make the best in every circumstance of life. My heart goes out to kids wanting things for Christmas and doing our part is important.
We don't understand certain things of life, while others wait for their dream.
I do believe in Jesus and I do believe in Santa. That might upset some people but that's okay. Both people bring JOY to hearts and excitement when you think about them. I am writing for you to agree with me, but I see how God uses Santa to help some children. Just like at the Foster Family Christmas Party. EYES light up and so do mine.
Don't give up believing or keeping the faith that today could be your day! Your dream can come true and your prayers answers. God is a big God and I will for you too. Please don't feel alone today because my thoughts and prayers are with the readers of my blog. I CARE!
JESUS is also right here for you! He never goes away and hears your heart. Keep believing!
My prayers are with you, your family and friends.
