Philippians 2:12-18 New International Version (NIV)
Do Everything Without Grumbling
12 Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed—not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence—continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, 13 for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose.
14 Do everything without grumbling or arguing, 15 so that you may become blameless and pure, “children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation.” Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky 16 as you hold firmly to the word of life. And then I will be able to boast on the day of Christ that I did not run or labor in vain. 17 But even if I am being poured out like a drink offering on the sacrifice and service coming from your faith, I am glad and rejoice with all of you. 18 So you too should be glad and rejoice with me.
BEHIND THE SCENES ~
Each of our lives hold chapters of life. A story that some people know about you and yet behind the scenes there is a story unwritten. A very long time ago, in the book of Genesis it is written about the beginning of this world. God took time to create it and design it to be good. Then he created each of us in our own time and for our own purpose. You were never designed to be anyone else but you. Stop comparing your life to someone else, unless you just want to become a better person like someone. I think that having examples before us is important, but not to become them. Finding yourself and knowing that God's plan is unique and so are you.
Yesterday held the title of Valentines Day. I heard happy kids are school and some sad kids. A little boy did not have valentines to hand out and you could see his face was so sad. Even kids get disappointed by a day with a title but we can change that. Our words can encourage children and adults if we speak words of joy and encouragement. Watch how you talk to yourself and how you view yourself. I know a person who would never take a picture, but one day, she did a selfie and told me. She was so happy that she view herself a little different and I was so proud of her. Looking into a mirror should be what you see through God's eyes. His design of you is beautiful.
As a kid, I remember getting teased a lot and I would walk home alone crying. I talked to myself all the way home saying how dumb I was. If I was smarter, kids would like me. That just wasn't true but a little kid believes a lot of things. I was told I wasn't as smart as other kids by a teacher, but she said that wasn't my fault. I was just not as smart. My 4th year old brain didn't understand her words so I took them on. I am dumb and not smart as other kids. It wasn't until I was in college, that I realize her words planted inside of me. I am smart and I must stir that statement on because it's true.
BEHIND THE SCENES ~
Growing up in different homes and different rules can separate us at times. But God has brought us together through his word (Bible) and we have choices. Good choices and words of value to our lives. Your are important, smart and have courage to face anything. You can stir up positive thoughts and that leads to positive actions. Purpose this a good day and behind the scenes of your life is GOD! He is guiding gently and in his loving ways. Be encouraged and make your choices good ones.
My prayers continue for you, your family and friends.
