Psalm 127:3 New International Version (NIV)
Children are a heritage from the Lord,
offspring a reward from him.
As I think of children, I think of Life. The smiles upon their faces and the joy of hearing playing outside. God creates us and wants the best for each of us. He gives us free will and helps us in daily living. Nobody but God understands the depth of our hearts. He says that he will give us the desires of our hearts. I found myself playing with my kids when they were little. They both have kids now and I love playing with my grandkids. God knows the desires of my heart and the gift of time with my grandkids blesses my heart. I count it an honor to teach them things of life and about Jesus. My example is huge and I know that. I am careful to speak life words and actions to them. I tell them they are smart and can do anything they put their minds too. My youngest is Averie and she is only 1 years old.
Psalm 37:4 New International Version (NIV)
Take delight in the Lord,
and he will give you the desires of your heart.
I also volunteer at my granddaughters school. The joys of watching them grow, but it appears to be too fast. My oldest granddaughter is in 5th grade and I remember her first day of preschool. She is also as tall as me and what happen to the toddler days? Each grandchild I have, holds a special place in my heart. Loving them all the same and wanting time is part of who I am.
THIS IS MY LIFE ~
It's time to start seeing your life the way God does.
There are plenty of opportunities to volunteer at my church (Hillside Christian Church). We have one amazing children's pastor (Stacy Marks) and a great team of others. Each one wanting time to help teach and guide little minds to Jesus. You might not be a kid person to volunteer but you certainly can say HI to kids and share a smile. I have found the kid inside of me has never gone away and I never want her to go away. It from that place that I understand kids and the important of kindness to them.
BEFORE YOU WERE BORN ~
God has a plan bigger than you think for your life
After my heart attack last week, I have looked at life different. Through of eyes of each day saying, "I AM ALIVE". Let us not take a new day for granted. Life can change us to the positive or negative. I choose to look through eyes of knowing God did a miracle for me. That alone brings so much joy to my life. I have some changes in my life with food, exercise and thinking positive. The enemy of my soul would try to sway me in thinking. Thinking that it might happen again or what if in life. I will not live in what if the negative happens because I am a positive person. But the battle is real and thoughts are powerful. As I choose to live positive and I cast down thoughts.
2 Corinthians 10:5 (NIV)
We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.
My prayers continue for you, your family and friends. Life has purpose, so purpose this a good day. Give praise for what you do have and hold on for things you are praying for in life.
