The year was 1985 and my husband fell over 40 feet at a construction site. He was a union carpenter and the steel column he was inside was hit by a crane. Knocking it over while he was inside and another person. He came out of it with crack ribs and a broken knee cap. I remember the doctor said that his hard hat saved his face. It cut his forehead but no broken bones in his face. I can look back and see the miracle working power of God. Someone asked me, but how is that God when he got hurt? I was in my 30's and I only knew that he could have been dead. I believed God protected him from death. I don't have all the answers but we certainly can look for miracles in accidents too.

I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. 13 I can do all this through him who gives me strength.
Learning to trust the Lord and leaning to him becomes a daily choice. Another example of miracle is when my husband was told he would never be a carpenter again. His body was hurt and he retrained for a copy machine man. It paid so much less, he was miserable and we prayed for an open door for him to do carpenter work again. God healed his body to continue working in this field. He made so much more money and was happier doing this. I count this a miracle in our lives too.
BEATING THE ODDS ~
My husband beat the odds of going back to being a Union Carpenter. He retired in this field and to God be the glory for all he has done. Another example of beating the odds is my daughter. The year was 2018 and she would just have her baby girl. Everything was fine and she was so happy. All of sudden, five days later my daughter would have a brain bleed. Leaving her five day old baby in my arms while she went to emergency in an ambulance. It was so scary and I can recall every moment of that day. I would get a phone call saying she had something that was life threatening. She needed to be flown by helicopter to another hospital. I remember telling myself to breathe. Lets fast forward this to a true miracle. The miracle came in the process of healing. One day at a time she got better, but it took months. Let us focus now on the miracle of her being back to work, doing great and giving God the glory.
Life can change suddenly and we must be solid in God. He has gives us each a plan, a promise and a future ~ Jeremiah 29:11. I know people right now beating the odds of sickness, jobs, housing, and the list goes on. God opens doors for each of us. Our yes to him is so important and I know that nothing is too big for him. If you need a miracle today, HOLD ON. Keep believing and trusting that nothing is impossible with God.
