2 Timothy 4:2 (New International Version)
Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction.
BE INSTANT IN SEASON and OUT OF SEASON ~
I have found my life has become an example to others. It has also become an example to myself. I am not who I was when I was younger. I see the importance of doing your best daily and treating others the way you would like to be treated. I do get my feelings hurt easy, but I continue to learn from life's experiences. Guarding my heart against expectations from others. Not everyone thinks like I do or even acts like I do. We were made different for a reason and yet everyone should treat others with kindness. Your right, somethings in life are not fair, but making the best of things makes things better. I believe this:
Titus 2:3 (New International Version)
Likewise, teach the older women to be reverent in the way they live, not to be slanderers or addicted to much wine, but to teach what is good.
Teach what is good the Bible tells us ~
One day life brings us to birth and one day life brings us to death. It is everything in between things that matters too. A complete circle of life and family/friends who change over time. All of us change in some way each day. Things we see changes us far more than we might realize. I can recall somethings I've seen that has broken me inside and other things that have lifted my spirits high as the sky. So many life changes and yet looking up to find hope in God. Through it all, we learn to trust in God.
You may ask, how do I let go of what I saw?
We can not live life in regrets of yesterdays. We can not live life in sorrows and not move forward. Sure it's hard and may be crazy how, but God's plan was never to leave us broken. He wants to restore and renew our hope in him. Somethings may flash back into your mind, but the process of how you deal with it become bigger.
My example today is my dad (Ed). He died from a sudden heart attack inside our bathroom at home. The room was locked and our neighbor (Tom) came to help. By that time, the firemen were there and an ambulance on it's way. My mother never got over that bathroom. We couldn't use it for a long time and if we did, we had to leave the door open. No more locked doors in our house. Every time I walked down that hall past the bathroom, I saw my dad laying there. A 18 year old girl, who felt like changes so instantly. Time would pass and I would turn my focus on my mom. How can I help her move forward in life? The answer was God, but the bottom line is, it was her choice to move forward not mine. I could only do my part and now her part had to begin too.
BE INSTANT ~
God change us from the inside. He brings new hope and faith to our lives. Let us not look at the negative things we have seen, but the positive ones we can see. God bring people into our lives and let us move forward into your plan. Teach us to be instant in season and out of season in life. AMEN
Sure there are things that never leave our minds, but we must continue to move forward. My heart goes out to people who saw things and can't let go of it. Like my mom for example, she once said that everyone that she ever loved, left her. It wasn't true, but that was her feelings. I was still there and loved her more than words could say. I just wanted her to get back up again and be my mom again, but that didn't really happen. I had to find my own new normal and help myself through some hards times as a teenagers. It still affects me today, but I have learned to shake it off and live in my today.
My prayers continue for the readers of my blog, your family and friends. So much happens in one day and let us be quick to do the right thing in life. To step up and make a difference.
