Psalm 1 New International Version (NIV)
1 Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked
or stand in the way that sinners take
or sit in the company of mockers,
2 but whose delight is in the law of the Lord,
and who meditates on his law day and night.
3 That person is like a tree planted by streams of water,
which yields its fruit in season
and whose leaf does not wither--
whatever they do prospers.
4 Not so the wicked!
They are like chaff
that the wind blows away.
5 Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment,
nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous.
6 For the Lord watches over the way of the righteous,
but the way of the wicked leads to destruction.
BE CAREFUL ~
You don't fix your eyes on the wrong person
When I was younger, I thought someone was very spiritual and her guidance was right in my life. As I grew older and began to see what kind of person she really was, I was wrong. Her example leads me down roads of not trusting good people. She would say wrong things about them and I believed whatever she said. I was in my 20's and began to learn from people who didn't live the word of God. It was like my eyes were blinded to the truth and then one day a light switch came on. A person can call themselves a Christian and be far from that title.
As I read Psalm 1, it clearly says we must not be around those who do not walk in the ways of God. I'm not a perfect person and I've made many mistakes in life. I have grown from my own mistakes and learn to hang around people who are liked minded. Those who want to live in kindness, do their best daily and helps others. Those who love the Lord and are doing their best daily too. I also have friends who do not go to Church but are amazing people. Their examples in my life are positive ones. I pray for all my friends daily and ask God to work in their lives. I don't want things to separate us, but to pull us together.
BE CAREFUL ~ what you pull away from in life
I don't believe you have to go to church to believe in God, I do believe God draws people back to church. I was in my early 30's when life changed again big. I lost that friend who wasn't a friend anyway, we lost our home, our dog and my brother died of cancer. I became angry at God and did not go to church for almost one year. It was in that year that I became bitter, frustrated over everything and lost time with my family. I drifted away inside myself and lost me. I have a friend named June who wouldn't stop praying for me. She continues to come over, show God's love and kindness.
My husband also kept praying and trying to find a new church. One that lived in freedom of God's word and lived what the Bible said. I believed their prayers worked because I felt this pulling to go try this new church. We did find a new church and I met many new friends. It was there that the healing started in my life. I have to learn some things over and that was right according to the Bible. I believe that when you find a healthy church, you find God move in a new way. The blinders are off and now you see things new. It was there that God started to restore my soul and I started to learn to let go of what I couldn't change.
BE CAREFUL ~
In what you believe and live
A new day is set before us. I shared a bit of my past and you know a bit of my now. I know that GOD IS ABLE to brings us from broken to restore us. I know that a new day is filled with opportunities to change your own life into better. Our thoughts are powerful, our words are powerful and our actions are powerful. God's plan for your life and my life is to prosper us as our soul prospers. My daily prayers are with you, your family and friends. Purpose this a good day and live in kindness.
