August 2020 looks a lot different for schools, teachers, kids, and parents this year. Today marks school for kids in Napa County and it is online school. My granddaughters are getting ready and yet a little nervous over the change. One of my granddaughters starts middle school and she will meet several teachers today online and tomorrow. Finding out she has some friends in a few classes and she is ready for this new change. I have another in 4th grade and she didn't get the teacher she wanted so the excitement isn't as big. The twins start Kindergarten this year and I so wanted to be there for their first day of school. Yet, it is all different and we must do our best in the changes of life. Their mom will be doing school with all of them.
PRAYER ~
God, I want to pray today for Principals, teachers, kids, parents and anyone who helps at the school. The school office staff, the janitor and part time workers. Please help everyone learn this new normal fast. Let classrooms go smooth and let kids enjoy the new moral too. Help parents figure out child care while needing to go to work. Most of all, stop the virus that overtakes our State too. It's not just our state but world. Stop the fires and help us to start over in life. Let freedom come again to each of us and our families. When I think of going back to school, I think of learning more and helping teachers. yet, I can't help them because of shelter in place notice. God, please lift all of these restrictions and heal our land suddenly. AMEN
You may not have little kids in school, but you sure can pray. Prayer changes things and I have seen this with my own eyes. God is faithful and able to stop this craziness so quickly. Until change comes, do your best not to complain, but to pray. I heard yesterday of a teacher in the school while I volunteer lost their family home and my heart breaks for her plus family. It's so hard with you loose everything you have worked so hard for in life, then just gone in minutes. Let us be grateful for all we have today and pray for others.
I will sure miss volunteering at this school, but we know it is not happening at least not in 2020. I'm going to keep today short. My heart is with all who are doing home schooling and I'm also praying for the person in charge of helping kids at home. That could be a mom, dad, grandparents, or whatever it is in life. Be safe and be happy.
