Ask, Seek, Knock
7 “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.
9 “Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? 10 Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? 11 If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him! 12 So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.
SEEK ME ~
Seasons change in life. One day we are sitting in the sun and enjoy the warmth. The next season we dealing with the cold and maybe snow. It is crazy how quickly the wind can come up or go down. We learn to walk by faith and not sight in life. So many great things can happen in one day. Just knowing that can seek God brings us to a new level in him. We are to ask, seek and even knock for God to hear us.
Christmas time brings little kids to asking for things for Christmas. Every toy commerical that comes on TV, my granddaughters say: Grammie I want that! They made a list for christmas and they know to ask. They continue the process by seeking me to tell me that I want this still. I love how they tell me things and I can listen to their little hearts. The knocking part comes in when I don't hear them the first time and they say it again "Grammie I want that". I love being a Grammie! I can compare to the love of God for each of us. His love must be greater somehow and and we are to ask, seek and knock for God to answer. I can say, "God I want this", and how much waiting matters.
Today is a good day, because I chose to make it that way. Casting off all negative thoughts or things that hinders us in a new day. Bringing hope to each situation and words of lfie. My prayers continue for you, your family and friends.
