1 Corinthians 13:1-3 (NIV)
If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. 3 If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.
AS A KID ~ I wanted to see kindness and love in my life. I remember saying when I grow up, I'm going to teach people to be kind. Little did I know when I became an adult, I would teach kindness the way I do. God can show us love, but we must show love back. I've grown up and different seasons of life has taught me so much. I have learn to let go of what I can't change and change the things I can. Love is necessary in our daily walk of life.
1 Corinthians 13:4-7 (NIV)
4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
GOD KNEW ~
As a kid, God knew you would grow up someday and that's why he says to put away childish things. Thoughts that take us places we don't need to travel to. Life is short and living in this day is so important. I know that God has greater things ahead and he can't give us greater if we don't live in love. His presence is here and he wants what best for each of us.
1 Corinthians 13:8-13 (NIV)
Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10 but when completeness comes, what is in part disappears. 11 When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me. 12 For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known. 13. And now these three remain:faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.
Here we go, trusting God and looking through a mirror of hope. God's promises are real and amen. Don't forget to see that yesterdays do affect us and we can grow into better or bitter people. I choose to become better each day of life. To forgive and to live. Each day we should live in totally freedom of where we have been and where we are going. God is faithful and keep our mindsets correct is important. The one thing you thought would destroy you, can become a help to someone else. Tell your story and share your life.
My prayers continue for you, your family and friends.
