I always get excited to see a new day. It means I have another chance of life and I can live in freedom of Jesus. Here we are starting a new day and a new year. The opportunities of life are endless. We can purpose time with God, family, friends and doing new things. We can reach out of ourselves and live in the totally freedom that God gives a life. Nothing is impossible to those that believe.
Luke 1:37 New King James Version (NKJV)
For with God nothing will be impossible.
I know God can do anything, but there are some things that we must deal with in life. Things happen to all of us and how we deal with it, makes the difference. We have just came through the holiday season of change. Many people missed loved ones greatly, others really are happy it's all over and some with mixed emotions of everything. We see pictures of that perfect family who loves Christmas and opens amazing gifts. While others sit alone at home and wonder why their life is like it is. Things change and I know that. I also know that our own choices makes the world of difference.
1 Chronicles 16:11 New International Version (NIV)
Look to the Lord and his strength;
seek his face always.
New Year's Day ~ A day that people continue to get together. Sharing the changes people are going to make. Many people say a diet is in store, travel, positive thoughts, and change. Change which sounds great, but so many people never keep their new year's resolutions. How about you? Did you make a new year's resolution? I hope all of us purpose time with God, loved ones and step into what God has called us to do. Give your complete heart to the Lord and watch the changes that come.
Romans 10:9-10 New International Version (NIV)
If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.
When I was 18 years old, I didn't understand the things I do now. I remember my mom saying this, "If I knew then, what I know now, I would do things different". That never made sense to my 18 year old self, but so does now. I often wonder if I would do things different? That different would have given me a different life and not the people who are in mine now. I truly love the people who are in my life and I wouldn't want that to change. So I guess my answer is no, I wouldn't change a thing. I have grown through the hard things and purpose to rise above it. I do have a beautiful family and friends. Counting blessings a new day, a new year and ready to serve the Lord.
I hope this new day and new year brings you much happiness, joy, peace, hope and all good things. I realize hard stuff will happen too but with the Lord as your guide, it's so much easier. Calling upon his name for help, praise and his grace. We all make mistakes in life and that' just a fact. It's time to live in the freedom of God's power.
I think back about 2018 and see how God help my family through the hardest thing ever. I can see how miracles took place and how God restored health. We can't always tell the complete story, but I know that my daughter would not be here today if it wasn't for the miracle working power of God. I know that my son would not be here today if it wasn't for the miracle working power of God. God raised them both back up at different points of life and are doing great today. My husband feel in 1985 about 40 feet from a construction site. He came out hurt but God raised him up. Another miracle of life for us. I can this, I might not always understand the timing of God, but I've learned to trust him in all seasons of life.
As this year begins, so does my love for God, my family and friends. My life is one of hurts, but rising above it. I am dependable and ready to pray for each of you daily. Whatever you need in your life, believe big and hold onto to God in prayer/praise. After all, God is truly a miracle worker! My prayers continue for each of you, your family and friends.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
