Life is telling us a year ends, and a new year begins tomorrow. So is much to be said about new beginnings and bringing in what we have learned from the years before.
Genesis 1 (NIV)
1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2 Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.
3 And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.
4 God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness. 5 God called the light “day,” and the darkness he called “night.” And there was evening, and there was morning—the first day.
6 And God said, “Let there be a vault between the waters to separate water from water.” 7 So God made the vault and separated the water under the vault from the water above it. And it was so.8 God called the vault “sky.” And there was evening, and there was morning—the second day.
9 And God said, “Let the water under the sky be gathered to one place, and let dry ground appear.” And it was so. 10 God called the dry ground “land,” and the gathered waters he called “seas.” And God saw that it was good.
Is seen through the eyes of the beholder. Each of us see's things different. Yet, the beauty of one God who created each of us for a reason. As this year end, let us count blessings of life. In this year, I have witness births, death, relationships that seem to end and new beginnings of other ones. I have seen friends who parent, child, friend, or family who went to Heaven way too soon. I have seen people who lost their dream and needed to get back up again. Others, who have experienced the best year ever and can totally count blessings. Life is mixed in together from happiness, to sadness and a mixture of both.
I like to go back to Genesis 1 ~ where God created each step of the way. Just like he created you and me. His plan is bigger than we might imagine and I want us to find that hope that Jesus offers us. He has connected our lives and it's important to see how far God has brought you from in life. Maybe you are in the middle of a personal storm and you can't see the sun yet. God has a way of working things out in all we do. It is much easier to say hold on for someone else, than for ourselves.
HAPPY NEW YEARS EVE ~
This is the end of 2015 and in just hours, it will be 2016. Who knows what is ahead of us but God. He has a plan in Jeremiah 29:11 a plan, a promise and a future. So much is ahead for each of us. Let us look back to count blessings and see how far God has brought us. Let us look into tomorrow with mercy and grace that God has given each of us. Our thoughts are powerful and our actions too!
I want to thank each of you who read my blog and pass it onto friends through this past year. It means more than I can tell you. I know that God uses my blog to help and to add encouragement. I have seen a lot in my life and I don't know it all, but I certainly love to share what I do know. Pressing through depression, hurts of life, change and just feeling alone can be very hard. I was in a place of life when I felt so alone and had people around me. I couldn't share my life and I remember crying out to God for help. He heard me, but I found that it took me reaching out of my self too.
I look back to see that I've co-taught a class for women for over 10 years now. I didn't think I could do it in the beginning, but God had a plan. As his plan continues, I see how one life matters and how it can affect another life. Even in writing this blog, it sharing hope on a daily bases. I pray this year ends with happy thoughts and your new year is filled with hope, love and peace. So much God has given us already and so much more he wants for each of us.
Happy New Years Eve and count those blessings!
