JOB 42:12 (NIV)
The Lord blessed the latter part of Job’s life more than the former part. He had fourteen thousand sheep, six thousand camels, a thousand yoke of oxen and a thousand donkeys.13 And he also had seven sons and three daughters. 14 The first daughter he named Jemimah, the second Keziah and the third Keren-Happuch. 15 Nowhere in all the land were there found women as beautiful as Job’s daughters, and their father granted them an inheritance along with their brothers.
16 After this, Job lived a hundred and forty years; he saw his children and their children to the fourth generation. 17 And so Job died, an old man and full of years.
Job was bored, he went through the in between years of brokenness, victories and trusting the Lord through it all. The end of his days were blessed and he died full of years. God is able to bring us through the hardest things of life. God is able to do miracles in small and big things of life. I've seen God answer prayer only to lead to another prayer that needed answering. God is faithful as we are faithful.
Daily I wake up and begin to thank God for a new day. I don't know what will happen in this day but I know in whom I trust. God is my source of strength and he has placed people in my life that I can count on. I know that I don't do life alone, but I do feel alone sometimes. It is when I open the Bible, read the word and began to put scriptures of hope within my mind. Life changes us over time and I see the importance of reading the Bible and knowing the truth of life. No dust on the Bible for me and living in the truth. I must admit, when I was younger, there was dust on my Bible a lot. It was when I got older than I grew to know the importance of daily reading.
Psalm 46 New International Version (NIV)1 God is our refuge and strength,
an ever-present help in trouble.
2 Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way
and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea,
3 though its waters roar and foam
and the mountains quake with their surging.
4 There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God,
the holy place where the Most High dwells.
5 God is within her, she will not fall;
God will help her at break of day.
6 Nations are in uproar, kingdoms fall;
he lifts his voice, the earth melts.
7 The Lord Almighty is with us;
the God of Jacob is our fortress.
8 Come and see what the Lord has done,
the desolations he has brought on the earth.
9 He makes wars cease
to the ends of the earth.
He breaks the bow and shatters the spear;
he burns the shields with fire.
10 He says, “Be still, and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth.”
11 The Lord Almighty is with us;
the God of Jacob is our fortress.
BE STILL and KNOW THAT I AM GOD ~
My prayers continue for you, your family and friends.
