A quick reminder for you to change your clocks tonight.
We turn the clocks back one hour. That means that dark time comes quicker and lighter in the mornings. I personally enjoy the lighter nights, but it's how it works.
This time of year always reminds me of my mom. For some reason, she would never change her clocks. When I would ask her what time do you want me to pick you up. Her immediate answer would be, my time or your time? It's funny now as she rest in Heaven, but totally drove me crazy. I had issues keeping the time straight with her. There is a reason we all live by the same clock in the same state. I realize the time is different others places.
FALL BACK ~ In resting in time changes, we know that God has gone before us to pave the way. People don't always like change, but change is what happens to each of us. God speaks of a time for everything.
Daniel 2:19-22 NIV
19 During the night the mystery was revealed to Daniel in a vision. Then Daniel praised the God of heaven 20 and said:
“Praise be to the name of God for ever and ever;
wisdom and power are his.
21 He changes times and seasons;
he deposes kings and raises up others.
He gives wisdom to the wise
and knowledge to the discerning.
22 He reveals deep and hidden things;
he knows what lies in darkness,
and light dwells with him.
FALL BACK ~
God changes seasons and times for his purpose.
Just as the clock ticks away, so does moments of our lives. There comes time when you look at the clock and see that something greater is ahead. There is a plan for today and you set off to a schedule of time. Living in the now is important but also planning for the future. In our future it holds promises throughout the word of God. Nobody is promised a day of life or even what the day holds. God gives us wisdom for a reason.
Today is our chance to see that we do get back one hour. The season is FALL BACK! It will not longer be 2am, but 1am all over again. It seems crazy how time changes, but it does. It seems crazy that God can take ALL our sin away, but he does. It seems only fit to talk about turning back our lives one hour and seeing that we can do something different. If you had to chance to do something different, would you? I was asked that question and I certainly feel like I would do something different or would I? The reason I say this is because I wouldn't want who I am to change. I've been through dark days and better days. I've see God's grace and mercy in my own life. I've cried of the lost of a home, car, dog, family members and changed within my home.
I've seen God work miracles that man said were impossible. Time changes me and by God's grace here I go again. I can let go and I can grab onto new beginnings in a new day. Something great is happening right now. You are reading this and putting your mindset into motion. You belong to God and your choices do matter.
1 John 4:4 NKJV
You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.
LIFE ~ move forward and knowing that even as things change, it can be good! My prayers continue for you, your family and friends. I have some friends going through a really hard time. Long lengths of time either grow us stronger into better people or bitter people. Take one day at a time and the the clock ticks, so does your heart. Keep focus on what is true and keep pressing forward.
It's the last day of the month and Halloween today. Pray safety over kids and adults. Drive careful and know that even in today, change will happen. Thank you for taking the time to read this and pass it on to others. Have a safe and happy Halloween. Plus, remember to turn those clocks tonight before bed.
Blessings to all
