The Lord your God is with you,
the Mighty Warrior who saves.
He will take great delight in you;
in his love he will no longer rebuke you,
but will rejoice over you with singing.”
When I googled this scripture Zephaniah 3:17, it came up like this:
3:17 – “rejoice over you” – literally means “dance, skip, leap, and spin around in joy.” God dances with shouts of joy over us!
I believe that God gives us a new dance when we turn our lives over to him. There is freedom in movement and knowing God has taken all the bands of sin off of you. Darlene says this, "It's all about the freedom baby".
God has taken us from a broken place and set up high on a mountain of praise. It is good to remember where God has brought our lives from. We do not grow up the same or go through the same things of life. Our yesterdays molds us into the person we are today. I am who I am today because I choose to praise the Lord for all things. I have stirred up my faith and found that God is faithful throughout my life. How about you? You do praise through the storms of life and give thanks? I know it is hard at times, but giving God praise and prayer is important through all seasons of life.
Hebrews 11:1 New International VersionFaith in Action11 Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.
I love watching my granddaughters dance. It's not the just dance but the smiles on their faces. They will make up dances and say this, "Grammie, watch me". Sometimes I record it on my phone, so they can see it. They like it most of the time, but sometimes, they say delete it and I'll try again. Dancing sure does bring joy to a soul.
Psalm 149:3 ~ English Standard Version3 Let them praise his name with dancing,
making melody to him with tambourine and lyre!
I hope you feel the joy of the Lord as you dance or as you sit today. There is something about praise inside of our hearts that helps us. Take time today to praise the Lord for your life, your blessings and keep prayer going for your life as well. It is good to see where God has brought us from and it is good to give thanks daily. My prayers continue for you, your family and friends.
