Psalm 119:48 New International Version (NIV)
I reach out for your commands, which I love,
that I may meditate on your decrees.
Psalm 63:4 New International Version (NIV)
I will praise you as long as I live,
and in your name I will lift up my hands.
ONE PAIR OF HANDS ~
I think of how God created the heavens and earth. I think about Jesus who walks this earth and went about doing good for his father. He would pray over people, giving people hope and new beginnings. How the blind man could see, the lame person could walk and he laid his hands on people for healing. People knew when Jesus came by things would happen. Not everyone of course, but many people believed. Let's take these Jesus hands into our now. He still goes about doing good and miracles still take place. There is power in the name of Jesus. His blood has saved us and brought healing to our bodies both mentally and physically.
James 4:7 New International Version (NIV)
Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
Turn from your owns ways and allow Jesus the freedom to move within you. The freedom to move into the plan God has for your life. You might wonder why or how come this happen but nobody knows the why of things at times. We must focus on how far God has brought us. I believe there is power in the name of Jesus and his two hands are still working in my life. I lift you up today in prayer and know that God is able to bring you peace as well. Somethings in life is just hard and we must understand that. It isn't always simple and I find myself speaking out loud to Jesus. Praying, believing and holding on for you, your family and friends. I know that sudden things change us, but let us not change us in a negative way.
I watched my mom go through hard things of life. She grew bitter over time and not better. She always wanted answers and why did God take her husband so young. Why did this happen or that happen? People would say because it was his timing. That isn't really a great answer for a woman who is now a widow and struggles with the why. Learning to be there for someone and just listening is great. Maybe that answer was true but she didn't want to hear that. That meant that God left her alone or did he? God says we are never alone but the struggle of human life is real. Especially when it happens to you.
I've learned that why isn't important to me anymore but how do I get through a situation of life. My mom not only lost her husband, but I lost my dad. A 18 year old girls who struggled with why too. Over the years, I have grown in God and I've learned a lot. That answer is leaning on God and bringing peace to my own mind. Life happens to each of us in different ways, we can learn to grow it.
Proverbs 3:5-6 New International Version (NIV)5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
6 in all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight
Peace I leave you today in thoughts. Whatever you are facing today, face with prayer, praise and new beginnings. Yesterday is gone and we are one day closer to totally healing, that perfect job, getting a house or a car. Maybe you are waiting for a miracle and today is the day. Stir up the hope that God gives us and rest in him. Ask largely and believe BIG. My prayers continue for you, your family and friends. I really do care and praying now.
