Psalm 91 New International Version (NIV)
1 Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust.”
3 Surely he will save you
from the fowler’s snare
and from the deadly pestilence.
4 He will cover you with his feathers,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.
5 You will not fear the terror of night,
nor the arrow that flies by day,
6 nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness,
nor the plague that destroys at midday.
7 A thousand may fall at your side,
ten thousand at your right hand,
but it will not come near you.
8 You will only observe with your eyes
and see the punishment of the wicked.
9 If you say, “The Lord is my refuge,”
and you make the Most High your dwelling,
10 no harm will overtake you,
no disaster will come near your tent.
11 For he will command his angels concerning you
to guard you in all your ways;
12 they will lift you up in their hands,
so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.
13 You will tread on the lion and the cobra;
you will trample the great lion and the serpent.
14 “Because he loves me,” says the Lord, “I will rescue him;
I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.
15 He will call on me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble,
I will deliver him and honor him.
16 With long life I will satisfy him
and show him my salvation.”
THE MOMENT ~
I found shelter in God, changed my life
Have you ever noticed how your mind can run a million miles without leaving a chair? I certainly have and I had to bring my thoughts back to right thinking. I had to break some learned behaviors of life. Somethings were said to me that just wasn't the truth. Somethings did not line up the word of God. We must be careful what we believe and who we believe. Finding out the truth can set your free.
John 8:31-32 English Standard Version (ESV)The Truth Will Set You Free31 So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed him, “If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, 32 and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
THE MOMENT ~
When Jesus forgives you of all your sins/mess ups of life. He will set your feet onto a new path of learning and growing in him. Open your Bible and purpose time to learn his ways. So many stories of real life people who messed up and began again. Others who didn't believe and those who did believe in Jesus. Life moves forward and we can grow from situations of life or stop growing. Everyday is a learning experience and another chance to grow into a better person.
I was talking with someone the other day about forgiveness. Forgiveness does not mean we need to put someone back into our lives, it means we must forgive them and live in freedom of thoughts. I had people who hurt me very bad. There words can pop back into my brain and I have learned to quickly let those words go. I take on the words of who Jesus says I am. I am free in him and my life makes a difference. Your life makes a difference too. Purpose to read Psalm 91 daily and grow stronger in who you.
My prayers continue for you, your family and friends.
