I find life much better what someone goes with me places. Even if we are just sitting in a waiting room and there is silent. Having the presence of someone else means a lot to me. I can certainly relate this to God and his presence. I find God's presence is stronger when I spend time reading or listening to Christian music. Moses was a man who listen to God and obeyed him. God spoke to him to lead others. It wasn't just about listening, but action too.
Exodus 33:12-23 New International Version (NIV)
Moses and the Glory of the Lord
12 Moses said to the Lord, “You have been telling me, ‘Lead these people,’ but you have not let me know whom you will send with me. You have said, ‘I know you by name and you have found favor with me.’ 13 If you are pleased with me, teach me your ways so I may know you and continue to find favor with you. Remember that this nation is your people.”
14 The Lord replied, “My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.”
15 Then Moses said to him, “If your Presence does not go with us, do not send us up from here. 16 How will anyone know that you are pleased with me and with your people unless you go with us? What else will distinguish me and your people from all the other people on the face of the earth?”
17 And the Lord said to Moses, “I will do the very thing you have asked, because I am pleased with you and I know you by name.” 18 Then Moses said, “Now show me your glory.”
19 And the Lord said, “I will cause all my goodness to pass in front of you, and I will proclaim my name, the Lord, in your presence. I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion. 20 But,” he said, “you cannot see my face, for no one may see me and live.
21 Then the Lord said, “There is a place near me where you may stand on a rock.22 When my glory passes by, I will put you in a cleft in the rock and cover you with my hand until I have passed by. 23 Then I will remove my hand and you will see my back; but my face must not be seen.”
GO WITH ME ~
Just as Moses needed to trust God and allow him to lead him, so do each of us. We might not hear God with a voice but in actions. Have you ever had a feeling inside and not quite what it means? Like calling someone or just knowing about something without anyone telling you? I've had that happen and I can't say that God said it, but I sure felt it was the right thing to do. Then other times that I knew God has spoke to me and I knew it without a doubt.
Go with me and allow God to mold you into a better person. Each of us have issues of life and circumstance we talk about, plus circumstances we don't talk about in life. Yet, God knows it all and wants our hearts to lean to him. He is faithful to each of us in so many ways. A new beginning happens when we let go of what we can't change and just say, "mold me God". Life becomes a daily walk with God and we can see him in action in our lives.
There will be times in life when we must remind ourself who is in charge. Through it all, we continue to learn to trust in God and lean to him. God is in charge and our free will comes into play. Make sure you choose right thoughts and actions. My prayers continues for you, your family and friends.
