Throughout life, we each have moments of stress or feeling anxiety of life.  Things we face and deal with both known and unknown at times. The dictionary says anxiety means:  a feeling of worry, nervousness, or unease, typically about an imminent event or something with an uncertain outcome.

Stress can make our minds wonder why and fear things.  There will times for us to tell ourselves to breath and that we can do this.  This being whatever is ahead of us.  Some people feel fear just by being around others.  Life can make us wonder why we do feel scared and what do we do with it?  The Bible speaks of trails of many kinds and we should consider that joy.  A trial is a test of any  kind and even if it's only in our minds, it's still real.  Facing it with courage and knowing that God is bigger than fear.  Fear and faith can not rest in the same place.

James 1:2-4  New International Version (NIV)
Trials and Temptations
Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.4 Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.

PERSEVERANCE ~
Testing of your faith produces
perseverance.  Perseverance means:  steadfastness in doing something despite difficulty or delay in achieving success.

Why is it that we just don't trust God?  Have you ever thought of that? We say we do and yet we are stressed over things that we should not be stressed about in life.  Sometimes things just happen and we need to remind ourselves who created us.  The God of the
universe made this world, created you and can certainly take away any anxiety you might have now.  As we begin to trust God, he unfolds a trust beyond a human understand.  Just knowing that God made this day, allowed the sun to come and shines warmth on my body puts a trust in my heart.  There have been times I've been so stressed and I couldn't overcome myself.  When I put on music or talk to a friend, the stress goes down and peace comes into my mind.

2 Timothy 1:7  King James Version (KJV)
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

Remind yourself that God is a big God and wants the best for you.  He doesn't want you to go about stressed or in fear of anything.  Everyday is a new day and he creates a new beginning just for you. There is power in the name of Jesus.  Power in knowing God is able and trusting big.  When someone tells me they are stressed, I began to feel their heart.  Each of us holds things inside and we never quite get where someone else lives.  We can live in today, but sometimes our now is just hard.  Our yesterdays, today and tomorrow comes together to make each of us. Our own decision affects not only us, but others.

I am proud of two friends from yesterday, Sonia and Jennifer.  Both of them pressed through some stuff to be at our Women's Service at church.  Their stories are different, but their decisions to come were the same.  God worked somethings out by their yes to him.  How about you?  Do you need God to answer a prayer or feel his peace?  Make a good decision today and connect with someone.  I'm glad you read this blog today and know that I care.

Thanksgiving and Christmas can bring much anxiety for many.  It brings thoughts of years past and what will happen this year.  People we love to be around and lets be honest, sometimes people we don't enjoy so much.  Yet, God has connected lives and we must protect our own brain from things.  Words can hurt and we remember the negative way too much.  Pop some positive into your mind right now and be determined to make 2017 a year to remember of blessings and what you do have in life.  Showing some kindness to those that aren't so kind to you.  I'm not saying it's easy, but a must.  Carrying the Jesus attitude is powerful and guarding our own minds too.

I was talking with someone yesterday and she began to tell me about her childhood.  She has a painful one of a step dad and I never knew that. As she began to share, I could feel her heart.  It's good to share with
friends.  I also have things I have never talked about in life.  The good thing, is that God knows each of us inside.  Our stories will help someone else and our example goes further than we might realize.  I do care about the readers of my blog and I promise to pray for you, your family and friends right now.

Take care of you and if you are stressed or anxiety hits you hard, get help!  Don't fight a battle alone and reach out to someone.  Break out of fear and know that peace can be yours through all situations of life.
