Hosea 12:6 (NIV)
6 But you must return to your God;
maintain love and justice,
and wait for your God always.
ANCHOR HOLDS ~
There is something about throwing out the anchor, that holds the boat.
There is something about throwing out your faith, that holds hope.
Returning to God and staying with God, opens new doors. Life has a way of turning us from the truth and becoming weary in well doing. Waiting on God to open doors in life can often take time. Our timing is not God's timing and things change in our lives suddenly. Don't forget to throw out that anchor of hope.
There is a song you can listen to on youtube called, "The Anchor Holds by Ray Boltz". It speaks of being tossed from side to side in life and yet the anchor holds. There is a faith in God beyond a human understanding. On days that are hard for me, I listen to this song. It's amazing and I love how God is a solid rock in my life. His promises are true and final.
There will be days that the waves of life go higher than us. Then other days when the waters seem just a bit too much. We must go back to the solid rock, the anchor of life through Jesus. I find that I get myself overwhelmed when I listen to negative words. Words can have power to tempt our ears to believe the worse in life. God has words to bring us to his truth and a hope that never goes away.
When life gets a bit overwhelming, know that God remembers where you are in life. He come to your rescue and answer your prayers. Look what he says bout Noah ~ Genesis 8:1 (NIV)8 But God remembered Noah and all the wild animals and the livestock that were with him in the ark, and he sent a wind over the earth, and the waters receded.
God remembered Noah and he answered. God remembers you and he will answer. Things do not always turn out like we think, but God is still a miracle worker. We must keep the hope in a new day. New thoughts and sharing hope with others. I find when I stir my faith up, I feel hope easier. When I keep my mind stayed on God, I find my hope easier. When I let go of what I can't change and change the things I can, I find hope has arise.
One story from the Bible is the miracle of seeing.
Luke 18:35-43 (NIV)
A Blind Beggar Receives His Sight35 As Jesus approached Jericho, a blind man was sitting by the roadside begging. 36 When he heard the crowd going by, he asked what was happening. 37 They told him, “Jesus of Nazareth is passing by.”
38 He called out, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”
39 Those who led the way rebuked him and told him to be quiet, but he shouted all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!”
40 Jesus stopped and ordered the man to be brought to him. When he came near, Jesus asked him,41 “What do you want me to do for you?”
“Lord, I want to see,” he replied.
42 Jesus said to him, “Receive your sight; your faith has healed you.” 43 Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus, praising God. When all the people saw it, they also praised God.
Stir up your faith today and let hope arise! My prayers continue for you, your family and friends.
