When a loved one enters Heaven, we feel sorrow immediately. I received this heart in the mail that reads, "forever in our hearts". It came after my mom entered Heaven years ago. Every time I see it, it brings back memories of that day. If I think about it a few minutes, I am quickly taken back to the day at the care home. It was 4am and I got the call to come immediately. A few short hours later, my mom was transported to Heaven and her body taken away by a dear friend Tom to the funeral home. He arranged the funeral for us and just having him there brought so much peace. I remember the importance of Psalm 23 to my mom. It was sure a new chapter of life for me and my family.
Psalm 23 ~ New International Version
A psalm of David.
1 The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
2 He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
3 he refreshes my soul.
He guides me along the right paths
for his name’s sake.
4 Even though I walk
through the darkest valley,
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.
5 You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
6 Surely your goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord
forever.
A TREASURE ~
Yesterday, I received a message from a friend (Stacy) saying her grandpa is with Jesus.
The life of one person sure does affect a lot of other people. There are no real words to say to someone but I care and I'm here for you. The Bible says there is a time to mourn and we do certainly mourn when people leave earth. Mixed emotions of not having them in pain or the condition they are, but such a lost feeling too. When you love someone you care about, you love them forever. I would ask today that you help me pray for my friends who miss their family member. God can cause the pain to be less and help them through this. Their treasure is one of wonderful memories too. This man was a great family man with great grandchildren too. I am reaching out today because I know the power of prayer helps. Pray for the Bingham family and that's reaches everyone his life touches.
Today, we give thanks unto God for helping us in all seasons of life. It is important to dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Psalm 23 can be for you today too. I read it and see the promise of God in refreshing my soul. Through it all, God is faithful and ready to help each of us. Turning our thoughts to him and allow him the freedom to guide us. Be encouraged today and share hope with someone. My prayers continue for you, your family and friends. God has a plan, he creates us and takes us home when his timing says it's time. Nobody knows that ending date but God. So do your best daily to be an example of Jesus to others. Sending love, hugs and prayers to all my friends who are mourning today. Giving thanks to a new day and life.
