Psalm 139:13-14 New International Version (NIV)
13 For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.
MASTERPIECE ~
Each one of us are designed by God and he has a plan for our lives.
Ephesians 2:10 New Living Translation (NLT)
10 For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.
As my life moves forward, I see the little girl inside of me as times. I remember sitting in my room and wanting to grow up. I wanted a family and friends. I wanted to be kind and live happy with a husband, kids, dog and house. It's crazy the things we think as a kid and grow up to see things happen not quite like I thought but even greater. I am not only a mom but a Grammie. Titles that stay within my heart and I thank God daily for being in lives of others. I know that my example matters and my prayers matter. I have seen miracles of life.
MIRACLES ~
Tracy was a little girl about two years old. She tripped and cut her head on a coffee table. It was so deep I rushed her to hospital. They called a specialist and her began to stitch her head. It was 45 minutes of stitches and two levels of stitches. The doctor felt her did a good job and told me when she became older, the scar would go into her eye brow. He was right and you can hardly see that scar. Yet, that day has always stayed fresh in my mind. I know that God did a miracle that day because it could have been her eye.
I also watched Tracy go through the loss of a child, their family home burning down and a brain bleed. All of this within 3 years of life. She is strong and her faith continues to grow. I have seen her tears and I have seen miracles in her family. Averie is a miracle baby and God gave her to them. I can't even explain how much Averie is like Tracy. It's like looking a mini Tracy. It brings joy to my heart and my soul to watch them together. Averie also loves her brothers so much. They now have a little sister and it brings laughter into their home when the boys are there. Let me not forget to mention Averie's cousin Willow and Brookley. So much love within a family and extended family.
SISTER ~
I watched my kids grow up together and so many memories. They have grow into great adults and pulled together in times of need. As the mom of adults kids, I called them kid/adults. They have times that still remind of being little. They were on FaceTime together last night and I had to smile. I was over at Chad's house and it's always nice to see them laughing together even on a phone. Chad's wife Ashley, made us a great dinner and time with family is special.
Today, we celebrate Tracy! I'm not sure what that looks like yet, but just knowing I want it to be the best day for her. Through it all, our faith in God has brought us through hardest things to best things. I can look back and see who God has guided footsteps of each of us as a family. I look our extending family too. I thank God for Tracy's life and allowing me to be her mom. What a privilege to guide a life, pray for them and share all seasons of life.
My prayers continue for you, your family and friends. Purpose this a good day and count blessings of life. Happy Birthday Tracy.
