Train up a child in the way he should go;
even when he is old he will not depart from it.
When I was a kid, I remember thinking about growing up. I also knew that someday I would marry, have kids, a dog and a house. It happened and I have now been married for 43 years this year. We have one daughter (Tracy) and one son (Chad). Our dog's name was Sandy. Life would move forward and my kids became kid/adults.
In the picture above, is my daughter with her daughter (Averie). You can see the gentle touch of a mom and daughter. Averie turned one year old in this picture and soon to be two years old. Tracy prayed that one day she would have a daughter. Tracy is a praying mom for her daughter and her three step sons.
PRAYER WORKS ~
I prayed to have kids and prayed for the desires of my kids to come true.
There are times we watch our kids go through harder things of life. My son and his first wife (Ashley) has two daughters. Ashley remarried and has three more kids. My son remarried and her name is Ashley too. The girls have a wonderful step mom and step dad in their lives. Praying people make such a difference. Everyone gets along good and I see how God has blessed all of them. A mother's prayers coming to pass. I have a beautiful relationship with all as well. We are called family.
We live Jeremiah 29:11 in our family. God has a plan, a promise and a future for each of us. There will be times when we pray and a different answer comes than we think. It is the process of change that God continues to arrange things for us. Yes, we are to ask and God does start the work.
Matthew 7:7 English Standard Version (ESV)
Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.
I never knew my grandparents or heard stories of their lives. I don't know what my great grandparents were like or generations before them. However, I do believe I had a praying grandmothers. I never thought about my grandfathers as much, but hopefully they prayed too. I know my mom prayed at times and there was one church service that she took me to that always stay alive to me. The preacher taught on faith and the power behind a small amount of faith. I heard God can do anything and as a kid, I was under 10 years old and I held tight to that message. There wasn't much church as a kid, but that one service sparked faith to me. My dad became a believer and started church about one year before his death.
A praying person makes such a big difference in our lives:
Mom ~ Dad ~ Grandmother ~ Grandfather ~ Aunt ~ Uncle ~ Cousin ~ Friend
Prayers of a MOM ~
Family is important to me. I pray daily for my family and friends. I also pray daily for whoever reads my blog, your family and friends too. I've seen miracles and I hold tight to that. Purpose this a good day and know this, PRAYER WORKS!
Take delight in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart.
